Gandhinagar, Thursday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today asked the district administration to take up people's grievances very seriously and deal sternly with troublemakers and mischievous elements in their respective areas.

Interacting online with people to redress their grievances during the monthly SWAGAT programme here, Mr. Modi particularly asked the administration to protect the interests of co-operative movement in the state not to deal sternly with the vested interests in land deals, without any favour or consideration.

The Chief Minister also asked the officials to make the SWAGAT programme more effective down to the taluka and even village level to ensure justice to the people.

Those present on the occasion included Minister of State for Energy Saurabh Patel, Chief Minister's Additional Principal Secretary G.C. Murmu, Deputy Secretary J.P. Modha and senior officers of other departments concerned.
