Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his campaign across Haryana on Saturday 11th October 2014. He spoke at rallies in Sirsa, Jind and Gurgaon. Shri Modi stressed on the fact that Haryana needs to become free from corruption and nepotism that has been prevailing in the state for the last several years.  He affirmed that in the last several years there are a group of five families that have gained in Haryana while the people have got nothing. Shri Modi added that these families pretend to be enemies in public whereas behind the scenes they are one only.

Shri Modi urged the people of Haryana to elect a BJP government with a full majority.

He stated, “If Haryana has to develop then I urge you to make one decision- elect a Government with a complete majority. There is no solution except a stable government.”

He took on the Congress and the previous UPA government for playing with the sentiments of ex-servicemen over the One Ran One Pension issue.

Shri Modi affirmed, “Haryana’s Jawan and Haryana’s Kisan are our pride. We fulfilled our promise on One Rank One Pension in our very first budget.”

In Sirsa the Prime Minister emphasizes on integrated development and said that the region needs better road and rail connectivity. He paid tributes to the saints and social reformers who have been serving society.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi got a call from Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. Mark Carney.

During conversation, Shri Modi congratulated Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. Mark Carney on his recent election victory and thanked him for the invitation to the G7 Summit in Kananaskis later this month.

The two leaders acknowledged the deep people-to-people ties between India and Canada and reaffirmed their commitment to work together with renewed vigour, guided by mutual respect and shared interests.

Prime Minister, Shri Modi conveyed that he looks forward to their meeting at the Summit.

In a X post, Shri Modi wrote;

"Glad to receive a call from Prime Minister @MarkJCarney of Canada.
