Addressing a massive rally in Mahabubnagar, Telangana, PM Modi said, “I appeal to the countrymen to join the cleanliness program and take out an hour to join this campaign. The people of India, with their continuous support, have made Swachhata a mass movement. I am confident that there will be similar participation in this campaign started today.”

PM Modi said, “Today I had the privilege of laying the foundation stone and inaugurating several projects for the welfare of the people of Telangana. These projects worth more than Rs 13,500 crore will take Telangana to new heights of development. This will also create a large number of new employment opportunities for the youth of Telangana.”

Expressing gratitude to the citizens of the state, PM Modi remarked, "Over the recent years, the residents of Telangana have bolstered the BJP's presence in the Lok Sabha, Assembly, and local elections. From the turnout seen here today, I am confident that the people of Telangana have fixed their resolve for change. Telangana wants change because now the state needs a transparent government and not corruption.”

Talking about women empowerment, PM Modi hailed the passage of Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam in the parliament. He said, “The sisters of Telangana know that they have a brother in Delhi, who is constantly trying to improve their lives. Be it building lakhs of toilets for sisters, giving loans without guarantee under Mudra Yojana, providing houses under PM Awas Yojana, giving free gas connections, we have worked to make the lives of women easier.”

Hitting out at the ruling government of the state, PM Modi said, “Loan waiver was promised to the farmers of Telangana. But because of empty promises, many farmers had to sacrifice their lives as the state government did not pay attention to their problems. We do not have a government in Telangana, yet we tried to help the farmers of Telangana. We restarted the Ramagundam Fertilizer Plant which was closed for years. So that farmers can get its benefit.
Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, about Rs 10,000 crore has been given to the farmers of Telangana.”

Highlighting about the farmers’ welfare, PM Modi stated, “Compared to 2014, currently India exports almost double the quantity of turmeric. The Spices Board has already been working to promote different spices in India. But there was no board for golden spice like turmeric. Now the BJP government has decided that a separate National Turmeric Board will be created in the country.”

“Recently, we launched PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Many Vishwakarma friends come from ST-SC-OBC background. Such artisans, who earn money through manual skills, were being neglected for decades. With this, our Vishwakarma brothers and sisters will get modern tools and their products will get a new market,” the PM said.

In a further swipe at the ruling party, PM Modi asserted, “The Government of India is going to establish a Central Tribal University in Mulugu district in Telangana. This university will be named after the tribal goddesses Sammakka-Sarakka. This Central University would have been built long ago, if the state government here had shown interest in it. I regret that the state government here kept postponing the work of giving land for Central Tribal University for five years.”

Slamming the dynastic politics, PM Modi said, “You also know who is running the Telangana government. The progress of Telangana has been stopped by 2 family run parties. Both these family run parties are known for corruption and commission. Both these parties have the same formula – ‘party of the family, by the family and for the family’.”

He further added that in this private limited company, the family holds key positions, including the President, CEO, Director, General Manager, Chief Manager, and Manager. This means that either family members occupy these important roles, or they appoint individuals with close ties to the family. Consequently, no party decision is made without their approval.

“Family based parties are busy in the welfare of their own families, but BJP is worried about the families of common citizens of the country. Our focus is on providing your family with a better life and better opportunities,” he said.

In his concluding remarks, PM Modi said, “The support of the people of Telangana for the BJP is increasing. The youth, women and farmers here have faith only in Modi's guarantee. Because the guarantees that Modi gives are fulfilled. The people of Telangana also want that all the promises made to them should be fulfilled.”

PM Modi to inaugurate ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 on 25th November
November 24, 2024
PM to launch UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025
Theme of the conference, "Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All," aligns with the Indian Government’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 and launch the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025 on 25th November at around 3 PM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

ICA Global Cooperative Conference and ICA General Assembly is being organised in India for the first time in the 130 year long history of International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), the premier body for the Global Cooperative movement. The Global Conference, hosted by Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), in collaboration with ICA and Government of India, and Indian Cooperatives AMUL and KRIBHCO will be held from 25th to 30th November.

The theme of the conference, "Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All," aligns with the Indian Government’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation). The event will feature discussions, panel sessions, and workshops, addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by cooperatives worldwide in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable economic growth.

Prime Minister will launch the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025, which will focus on the theme, “Cooperatives Build a Better World,” underscoring the transformative role cooperatives play in promoting social inclusion, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. The UN SDGs recognize cooperatives as crucial drivers of sustainable development, particularly in reducing inequality, promoting decent work, and alleviating poverty. The year 2025 will be a global initiative aimed at showcasing the power of cooperative enterprises in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.

Prime Minister will also launch a commemorative postal stamp, symbolising India’s commitment to the cooperative movement. The stamp showcases a lotus, symbolising peace, strength, resilience, and growth, reflecting the cooperative values of sustainability and community development. The five petals of the lotus represent the five elements of nature (Panchatatva), highlighting cooperatives' commitment to environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The design also incorporates sectors like agriculture, dairy, fisheries, consumer cooperatives, and housing, with a drone symbolising the role of modern technology in agriculture.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan His Excellency Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji His Excellency Manoa Kamikamica and around 3,000 delegates from over 100 countries will also be present.
