It is imperative to reject discrimination against the girl child and ensure equal opportunities for the girl child: PMLet us reaffirm our commitment to challenging stereotypes based on gender & promote gender sensitisation as well as gender equality: PMദേശീയ ബാലികാ ദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ.നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി നല്‍കിയ സന്ദേശത്തിന്റെ പൂര്‍ണ്ണരൂപം:
‘പെണ്‍കുട്ടികളുടെ അസാധാരണ നേട്ടങ്ങള്‍ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അവസരമാണ് ദേശീയ ബാലികാ ദിനം. വിവിധ മേഖലകളില്‍ അവരുടെ മികവ് നമ്മെ അഭിമാനിതരാക്കുന്നു.
പെണ്‍കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കെതിരായ വിവേചനം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതും അവര്‍ക്ക് തുല്യ അവസരം ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് അനിവാര്യമാണ്.
ലിംഗഭേദത്തില്‍ അധിഷ്ഠിതമായ സ്ഥിരം സങ്കല്‍പ്പങ്ങളെ വെല്ലുവിളിക്കാനും ലിംഗാവബോധവും ലിംഗസമത്വവും പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പ്രതിബദ്ധതയും നമുക്ക് ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ച് വ്യക്തമാക്കാം’.
