Speaking at the birth centenary celebrations of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya in Kozhikode, Shri Narendra Modi recalled his mantra of Antodaya.
The PM said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was appointed as the President of Jana Sangh in Kozhikode and the BJP itself evolved from the Jana Sangh. Shri Modi added further that BJP would never compromise on its ideals and keep on serving the people. “BJP has never compromised on its ideology. We entered politics not for gains but to serve”, said the PM.
The Prime Minister said that BJP’s character was based on principles of welfare of people and hence, ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’ was the party’s commitment. He added that everyone in the country must be treated equally. The Prime Minister remarked that development was the solution to all the problems.
PM Modi also remembered Mahatma Gandhi and said that his life was an example of ‘Minimum Carbon Footprint’. Adding further, he said that India would ratify the COP21 decisions on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on October 2nd.
Expressing concern over recent violence and atrocities, PM Modi said that such acts were intolerable and unacceptable.
