'ഇരട്ട എഞ്ചിൻ' സർക്കാരിന് കീഴിൽ ആരോഗ്യ സേവനങ്ങൾ മെച്ചപ്പെട്ടു: പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മോദി ബോട്ടാദിൽ

Ahead of the first phase of Gujarat’s legislative election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today addressed public meetings at Veraval, Dhoraji, Amreli & Botad, Gujarat. PM Modi started his address by highlighting how people used to underestimate Gujarat because of its condition in the early days and how today Gujarat is reaching new highs.

Talking about the development of ports and the marine industry in Gujarat, PM Modi said, “We have started the Sagarkhedu scheme worth thousands of crores to provide facilities to the fishermen as well as to the farmers”. PM Modi further added that due to the double-engine government of Gujarat and the Centre, they have created a separate ministry for fisheries to provide support to the farmer of the country.

Hitting out at the opposition, PM Modi said that the people of Congress neglected the health needs and infrastructure of Gujarat for decades and left people to fend for themselves. PM Modi further stated how the entire landscape of health infrastructure has been revitalised under the BJP government in under 20 years. PM Modi added, “The BJP government is most concerned about mothers-sisters-daughters, their lives and their health.”

Addressing his second rally in Dhoraji, Gujarat, PM Modi started his address by highlighting that Gujarat, today, is at the forefront of development, investment, manufacturing and exports; and the credit goes out to the hard-working people of Gujarat. PM Modi further addressed the people on how Gujarat used to suffer from water scarcity for decades and the Congress-led government ignored these issues altogether. PM Modi added that the work done by the BJP government to solve the water crisis in Gujarat has brought prosperity to the state today.

Calling out the fallacies of the opposition, PM Modi iterated how the Congress today is walking shoulder to shoulder with those who opposed development in Gujarat in every aspect possible. PM Modi finally addressed the people on how an ‘Aatmanirbhar’ Gujarat is the key to ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and said, “Entrepreneurship is the strength of Gujarat…, in the past 20 years, we created the right environment for industrial development, established peace.”

Continuing his election campaigning spree, PM Modi addressed his third rally in Gujarat’s Amreli. He appealed to the people of Amreli to make the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) victorious in all the polling booths. The PM highlighted the transformed picture of Gujarat’s agriculture sector under the BJP government. He said, “Today, the agricultural growth rate in Gujarat has remained in double digit for years. We are ensuring that the farmers get sufficient urea, cheap urea. The government buys a sack of urea from abroad, it costs Rs 2,000. The government is giving the same sack worth Rs 2,000 to the farmers for less than Rs 270.”

Remembering a great son of the state, PM Modi iterated, “I will give you another example of how the BJP government respects your every sentiment. Our government has the pride and good fortune of converting Mazdar village into Kagdham. This is the real tribute to Kag Bapu. But it is sad that Congress never thought of doing this. I announced this during my Sadbhavna fast in Amreli.”

Highlights from Botad
PM Modi addressed his last rally of the day at Gujarat’s Botad. He said, “The people of Botad and the people of entire Saurashtra are saying that in this election the opposition will again bite the dust and lose the Gujarat assembly election. BJP government is going to be formed once again in Gujarat. The relation between Gujarat and BJP is unbreakable. Because this relation is of development and trust. I have relation with Botad since my Jansangh days.”

“Earlier vote was sought in names of grandfather, father and others. Then came time votes were sought in name of caste and religion. It is BJP that has made development issue in politics. BJP has compelled other parties to seek vote on development,” asserted the PM.

PM Modi listed out various health schemes initiated by the BJP government. He said, “Healthcare services have improved under the 'double engine' government. 20 years ago there were only 11 medical colleges in Gujarat, today there are 36 medical colleges in the state. 20 years ago there were 4 dental colleges in Gujarat, today there are 13 dental colleges in Gujarat.” Also, PM Modi urged the people to make the BJP winner in every polling booth.

November 21, 2024

Prime Minister visited the Indian Arrival monument at Monument Gardens in Georgetown today. He was accompanied by PM of Guyana Brig (Retd) Mark Phillips. An ensemble of Tassa Drums welcomed Prime Minister as he paid floral tribute at the Arrival Monument. Paying homage at the monument, Prime Minister recalled the struggle and sacrifices of Indian diaspora and their pivotal contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture and tradition in Guyana. He planted a Bel Patra sapling at the monument.

The monument is a replica of the first ship which arrived in Guyana in 1838 bringing indentured migrants from India. It was gifted by India to the people of Guyana in 1991.
