Prime Minister Narendra Modi kickstarted NDA’s campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls. He addressed his public meetings in Sasaram, Gaya and Bhagalpur today. At the rally, PM Modi said, “Voters of Bihar have taken a resolve that they won't let those who have a history of making the state 'Bimaru' come near them.”

Beginning the maiden poll rally in the state, the PM said: "Bihar lost its two sons recently. I pay my respects to Ram Vilas Paswan Ji, who was with me till his last breath and gave his entire life for the welfare of the poor and Dalits. Similarly, Babu Raghuvansh Prasad Singh ji also worked for poor. I pay my respects to him."

PM Modi asserted that the discipline they had shown in keeping the Covid-19 at bay is worthy of praise. “I want to congratulate the people of Bihar for the way they are fighting the battle against COVID-19. The decisions and steps taken by the state govt and people of Bihar against the pandemic are highly commendable,” he said.

Paying respects to the martyred soldiers, the PM said, “Sons of Bihar lost their lives in Galwan Valley for the tricolour and ensured Bharat Mata's head is held high. Jawans of Bihar were also martyred in Pulwama attack. I bow my head at their feet and pay respects.”

Taking a dig at the opposition, PM Modi remarked, “The people who once ruled Bihar are again looking at the developing state with their greedy eyes. But, Bihar must not forget who pushed them backward, that was the time when there was worsening law and order situation and corruption in the state.”

Hitting out at the opposition for their demand to restore Article 370, PM Modi said, “NDA government abrogated Article 370. These people say they will bring it back if they come to power. After saying this they dare to ask for votes from Bihar. Is this not an insult of Bihar? The state which sends its sons and daughters to the borders to protect the country.”

Addressing the gathering in Sasaram, the Prime Minister hits out at the opposition at its attack on his government over the farm bills issue, he said that those who always lied to farmers are now misleading them for their own political benefit. Mandi and MSP were excuses, the opposition wanted to save the brokers and middlemen. Opposition were spreading rumours about MSP.

Mounting an attack on the RJD, PM Modi said, “the people should not ever forget those who gave Bihar crime, corruption and others. They ruined the state in the name of government jobs and are now again greedy to grab power in Bihar.” “Some people are trying to spread rumours to suggest that some new power is emerging, but people of Bihar are not going to be fooled,” he added.

In his address, PM Modi said that farmers credit cards were given to small farmers, fishermen and livestock farmers. About 6,000 crore rupees have been deposited in the account of 74 lakh farmer families of Bihar under PM Kisan Yojana. He remarked, “the continuous efforts are also being made for self-employment opportunities in Bihar. Today, the poor, women, youth and shopkeepers are getting loans without any assurance from the Mudra Yojana.”

“Connectivity has been the NDA's double engine government's priority. Today, the roads are reaching almost every village in Bihar. National highways are widening. New and modern bridges are being built one by one on the rivers of Bihar,” he added.

In Gaya, PM Modi talked about the recently launched ‘Swamitva Yojana’ which enabled people to download their property cards through an SMS link sent on their mobile phones. He promised to launch 'Swamitva Yojana' in Bihar soon. He also spoke about the development of the tourism sector in Gaya and Bodh Gaya.

Speaking at a rally in Bhagalpur, the Prime Minister said, “People of Bihar know that it is important to make Nitish Kumar the CM again for faster development of the state. The parties who are today standing against NDA are against the growth of the country. Opposition concerned only with 'developing' their own families.”

“Bihar deserves quality education. Can it be ensured by those who don't even know the value of education or by those who are working 24/7 to bring IITs and IIMs to Bihar?” asked PM Narendra Modi. He also called for promoting swadeshi products and exhorted people to motivate others too in buying local products like Bhagalpur Silk saree etc in this festive season.

The Prime Minister claimed that the NDA government under Nitish Kumar's leadership is the need for making the state developed and self-reliant. "This time voters of Bihar are putting all their energy for the victory of NDA," he said.

Calling for high voter turnout, PM Modi requested citizens of Bihar to come out and vote in large numbers in upcoming elections.

Several NDA leaders along with CM Nitish Kumar were present at the public meetings.
