അധ്യാപക ദിനത്തില്‍ ലോക് കല്യാണ്‍ മാര്‍ഗില്‍ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ 2017ലെ ദേശീയ അധ്യാപക അവാര്‍ഡ് ജേതാക്കളുമായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി സംവദിച്ചു. കേന്ദ്ര മനുഷ്യവിഭവ ശേഷി വകുപ്പു മന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. പ്രകാശ് ജാവദേക്കറും ചടങ്ങില്‍ സംബന്ധിച്ചു.
രാജ്യത്തെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നിലവാരം ഉയര്‍ത്തുന്നതിനായി നടത്തുന്ന ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അവാര്‍ഡ് ജേതാക്കളെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനായും അതു ജീവിത മന്ത്രമാക്കുന്നതിനായും അവര്‍ കാണിക്കുന്ന സമര്‍പ്പണ ഭാവത്തെ അദ്ദേഹം ശ്ലാഘിച്ചു. ഒരു അധ്യാപകന്‍ ജീവിതകാലം മുഴുവനും അധ്യാപകനായി തുടരുമെന്നു പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
ചുറ്റുപാടുമുള്ള സമൂഹത്തെ സ്‌കൂള്‍ വികസനത്തിന്റെ അവിഭാജ്യ ഘടകമാക്കിമാറ്റണമെന്ന് അവാര്‍ഡ് ജേതാക്കളുമായുള്ള ആശയവിനിമയത്തിനിടെ ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളിലെ, വിശേഷിച്ചു പാവപ്പെട്ടതും ഗ്രാമീണ പ്രദേശങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു വരുന്നവരിലെ, കഴിവുകളെ പുറത്തെത്തിക്കാനായി യത്‌നിക്കണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളും അധ്യാപകരും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം നഷ്ടപ്പെടാതിരിക്കാന്‍ അധ്യാപകര്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണമെന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുകവഴി ജീവിതാവസാനം വരെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ അധ്യാപകരെ ഓര്‍ത്തിരിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യം ഉണ്ടാവുമെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി. സ്‌കൂളുകളും അയല്‍പക്കവും ഡിജിറ്റലാക്കി മാറ്റുവാന്‍ അധ്യാപകരെ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രോല്‍സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു.
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുമായി സംവദിക്കവേ, തങ്ങളുടെ സ്‌കൂളുകള്‍ പഠനത്തിന്റെയും മികവിന്റെയും കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളാക്കിത്തീര്‍ക്കുന്ന പ്രചോദനാത്മകമായ കഥകള്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ് ജേതാക്കള്‍ വിവരിച്ചു. പുതിയ ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ നോമിനേഷന്‍ നടപടിക്രമത്തിനും ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ ഇന്ത്യ തുടങ്ങി രാജ്യത്തെ സ്‌കൂളികളിലെയെല്ലാം വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തില്‍ ഗുണപരമായ വലിയ മാറ്റം സാധ്യമാക്കിയ പദ്ധതികള്‍ നടപ്പാക്കിയതിനും അവര്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയെ നന്ദി അറിയിച്ചു.
ദേശീയ അധ്യാപക അവാര്‍ഡ് ജേതാക്കളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടിക്രമങ്ങള്‍ മനുഷ്യവിഭവശേഷി മന്ത്രാലയം ഈ വര്‍ഷം പുതുക്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇതുപ്രകാരം സ്വയം നാമനിര്‍ദേശം ചെയ്യാന്‍ വ്യവസ്ഥയുണ്ട്. പ്രമുഖ ദേശീയ അവാര്‍ഡുകളില്‍ അടുത്തിടെ വരുത്തിയ പരിഷ്‌കാരങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു പ്രചോദനം ഉള്‍ക്കൊണ്ടാണു മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ വരുത്തിയത്. സുതാര്യവും നീതിപൂര്‍ണവുമായ പദ്ധതി മികവിനും പ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിനും അംഗീകാരം ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതാണ്.
