Watch : Shri Narendra Modi addressing a massive rally in Krishnanagar, West Bengal
A stern stand at tackling infiltrators and a supportive stance at addressing the concerns of the people in West Bengal was conveyed by Shri Narendra Modi, during his address at rallies in Krishnanagar, Barasat and Kolkata on the afternoon of 7th May. Sharing deep concern for the sorry-state-of-development in the State, Shri Modi expressed keenness in developing every section of the society and bringing the State at par with the rest in the Nation. He also called upon the people to understand the games played by the ruling governments and shun them to ensure the State’s progress.
‘Kolkata mein kushti, Delhi mein Dosti’, said Shri Modi, while talking about the deceiving strategies of the Congress, Left and the TMC, whereby they acted as adversaries in Bengal but were, in fact, good friends in Delhi. He stated how despite taking turns to rule the State for the past 40 years, the Congress, Left or the TMC, had done nothing for the welfare of its people. From atrocities on women to the pitiable condition of the farmers and rising number of unemployed youth, Shri Modi spoke of grave concerns that had never been addressed by any of the ruling governments in the State. He condemned the efforts of the Congress and its allies to defame Shri Modi, and spoke of how they should instead direct their efforts at serving the people.
Shri Modi also spoke of the TMC Chief’s deep concern for the people of West Bengal in the past, and asked her as to why her liking for the ‘chair’ reigned supreme now. He also condemned her approach of targeting Shri Modi, instead of focusing on empowering the Machua community in the region. Highlighting the significance of empowering every person for the Nation’s development, Shri Modi affirmed his commitment to serve every section of the society and develop the Nation by uniting all.

The need to take a tough stand on infiltrators was conveyed by Shri Modi, who reminded the TMC chief of the Supreme Court’s stance on intruders being an aggression on India, and questioned her if she could tackle the concern appropriately. He stated that the mass infiltration had robbed the localites of their opportunities to work and prosper. Shri Modi also spoke of how the tackling of infiltrators required a more channelled approach which provided refuge to the needy, and punished those who were involved in votebank politics.
Hitting back at the Congress’ reluctance to be accountable to the people for their work, Shri Modi said that this arrogance of theirs would ring in their ruin. He said that this was already evident in Amethi, where, despite being in power for over 30 years, the Congress had to plead to the people to vote for them in these Elections.
Affirming his focus on creating a ‘Skilled India’ and getting rid of the ‘Scam India’, Shri Modi urged the people to vote for the BJP and assured them that good and happy days were awaiting them.
