Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Indonesian Ambassador to India Lt. Gen (Retd) Andi M. Ghalib today invited representatives from Gujarat Government and private sector companies to the CEO Summit to be held in Bali on December 7 and 8, 2011.

The envoy during his meeting with Chief Minister Narendra Modi here expressed his desire to forge relations with Gujarat in many fronts, particularly in Human Resources Management and University Education.

Impressed by the all round progress of Gujarat in both the public and private sector, he said that he looked forward to cooperation with Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) and Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), besides other fields like Information and Communication Technology, Management and Pharmacy education.

The Ambassador expressed his desire to partner with Gujarat in the shipbuilding industry too, taking shape along the coast.

The Chief Minister agreed to send a delegate to the Summit as well as explore areas of mutual cooperation.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today congratulated Humpy Koneru on winning the 2024 FIDE Women’s World Rapid Championship. He lauded her grit and brilliance as one which continues to inspire millions.

Responding to a post by International Chess Federation handle on X, he wrote:

“Congratulations to @humpy_koneru on winning the 2024 FIDE Women’s World Rapid Championship! Her grit and brilliance continues to inspire millions.

This victory is even more historic because it is her second world rapid championship title, thereby making her the only Indian to achieve this incredible feat.”
