Punjab Chief Minister, Shri Parkash Singh Badal paid a courtesy visit to meet Shri Narendra Modi

Punjab Chief Minister today paid a courtesy visit, to meet Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar.

Under the Leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, the way industrial, agricultural and economic development had driven Gujarat to become a guiding light for other states, had impressed the Chief Minister of Punjab and its accompanying delegation up to a great extent.

Depicting the role of Mahatma Mandir Project in Gandhinagar, Shri Narendra Modi outlined that its first phase of construction had completed in just 182 days. Secondly, the architecture of the historical monument “Statue of Unity” – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s tallest statue in the world in proximity to Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam is set to take its shape. The Chief Minister of Gujarat also briefed about the Kranti tirth - the memorial of Revolutionary, Shyamji Krishna Verma to be constructed on the sea coast of Kutch-Mandvi.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
