PM Modi’s big boost to Swachhta Abhiyan

“If we clean up the garbage, at least Rs. 6500 will be saved in the pockets of the underprivileged. They will be saved from diseases. One, who cannot find work, will be saved from unemployment. Getting rid of the garbage is an important task for the health of the poor. That is why the service to this nation means the service to the poor.”

There has been a deep effect of PM Modi’s efforts on the cleanliness drive in his constituency of Varanasi. Being a public representative, he himself handled the cleanliness drive, twice. The First time he participated in Shramdaan at the Assi Ghat to clean up the garbage and the second time he held the broom and participated in the cleaning drive at the Jagannath temple on the occasion of Good governance day.


It is the result of PM Modi’s agility that in the past two and a half years, enough work has been done to keep kashi clean and beautiful. Many tasks are being carried out in the city for waste management & cleanliness with a cost of Rs. 108.26 crores. The ILFS & ECOPAL companies have been put in charge of door-to-door collection, cleaning and carriage of household refuse. For this task, a sum of Rs 45 crores has been allotted. Under the ‘Namami Gange’ scheme, ILFS will work on cleaning of all ghats. This will incur an expense of Rs. 5 crores per year.

NTPC has begun work at the Karsada Waste Disposal plant, which is pending for 7 years, with a cost of Rs. 7 crore. And now it has begun producing organic manure. In the same way, IOCL has begun operation of Electricity from decentralized waste plant with a capacity of 10 Metric Tonne, in Bhavnia Pokhari. Such plants are being set-up at 9 other places in Varanasi with a cost of Rs. 19 Crores.

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Varanasi Municipal Corporation has been provided with Road sweeping machine, garbage truck, compactor & waste collection bins. More than 50 public urinals & 153 Public toilets have been constructed. Also, 2263 personal toilets have been constructed and 8122 more have been approved.

It is quite evident that swachhta mission has a very positive effect on this historical and sacred city. The people have also welcomed this initiative of the Prime Minister.

ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರು ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 20, 2024ರಂದು ವಾರಣಾಸಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 2:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಆರ್‌.ಜೆ. ಶಂಕರ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ನಂತರ, ಸಂಜೆ 4:15 ರ ಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ, ಅವರು ವಾರಣಾಸಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುವಿಧದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಆರ್.ಜೆ. ಶಂಕರ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯು ವಿವಿಧ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಸಲಹೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.  ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

 ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ರಸ್ತೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ತಮ್ಮ ಬದ್ಧತೆಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ರನ್‌ ವೇ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ಟರ್ಮಿನಲ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ವಾರಣಾಸಿಯ ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸುಮಾರು 2870 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ವೆಚ್ಚದ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡಿಪಾಯ ಹಾಕಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ಇವುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆಗ್ರಾ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ 570 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ನ್ಯೂ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಎನ್‌ ಕ್ಲೇವ್, ಸುಮಾರು 910 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ದರ್ಭಾಂಗಾ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಮಾರು 1550 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮೊತ್ತದ ಬಾಗ್ದೋಗ್ರಾ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ರೇವಾ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ, ಮಾ ಮಹಾಮಾಯಾ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ, ಅಂಬಿಕಾಪುರ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಸಾವಾ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ 220 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಹೊಸ ಟರ್ಮಿನಲ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ಈ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕವಾಗಿ 2.3 ಕೋಟಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿದೆ.  ಈ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗಳು ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ರಚನೆಗಳ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಅಂಶಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿತವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ತಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ, ಖೇಲೋ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಸಿಟಿ ಮಿಷನ್ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 210 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ವಾರಣಾಸಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣದ ಪುನರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ 2 ಮತ್ತು 3ನೇ ಹಂತಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಆಟಗಾರರ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯಗಳು, ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳು, ಒಳಾಂಗಣ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಗಳು, ಯುದ್ಧ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.  ಲಾಲ್ಪುರದ ಡಾ. ಭೀಮರಾವ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ 100 ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳ ಬಾಲಕಿಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಲಕರ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಪೆವಿಲಿಯನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಾರನಾಥದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ವರ್ಧಿತ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಪಾದಚಾರಿ-ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಬೀದಿಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ, ಹೊಸ ಒಳಚರಂಡಿ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಒಳಚರಂಡಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕರಕುಶಲ ಮಾರಾಟಗಾರರನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಆಧುನಿಕ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಕಾರರ ಮಾರಾಟದ ಬಂಡಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಘಟಿತ ಮಾರಾಟ ವಲಯ, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಬಾಣಾಸುರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುಧಾಮ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳು, ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಗಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯೀಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಇತರ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
