ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರು ಇಂದು ಬಂದರ್ ಸೆರಿ ಬೆಗವಾನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಿತ ಒಮರ್ ಅಲಿ ಸೈಫುದ್ದೀನ್ ಮಸೀದಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರನ್ನು ಬ್ರೂನೈ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಘನತೆವೆತ್ತ ಪೆಹಿನ್ ಡಾಟೊ ಉಸ್ತಾಜ್ ಹಾಜಿ ಅವಾಂಗ್ ಬದರುದ್ದೀನ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಬ್ರೂನೈಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಡಾ. ಹಾಜಿ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಇಶಾಮ್ ಕೂಡ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು. ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಲು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸದಸ್ಯರೂ ಕೂಡಾ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

ಈ ಮಸೀದಿಗೆ ಬ್ರೂನೈಯ 28ನೇ ಸುಲ್ತಾನರಾದ ಮೂರನೇ ಒಮರ್ ಅಲಿ ಸೈಫುದ್ದೀನ್ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಇಡಲಾಗಿದೆ (ಇವರು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸುಲ್ತಾನ್ ರ ತಂದೆ‌, ಇವರೆ ಈ ಮಸೀದಿಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದರು) ಇದರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾರ್ಯ 1958ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.
