NDA will form government in Punjab; 'Nawa Punjab' will be free from debts: PM Modi in Jalandhar
Nawa Punjab, Bhajpa De Naal, New Punjab will have no place for corruption, law and order will prevail: PM Modi
PM Modi says if Captain Amarinder Singh worked with central government according to principles of federalism then what is wrong in that

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Jalandhar, Punjab. He said, “Punjab has supported me, given me a lot. I will always be indebted to this place; hence I will always work to uplift the state. It's certain that an NDA will form a government in Punjab. Nawa Punjab, Bhajpa De Naal.”

“New India will be made when Nawa Punjab will be formed in this decade. Nawa Punjab - which will preserve its heritage as well as where there will be development. Nawa Punjab - which will be free from debt, will be full of opportunities. Nawa Punjab - where every Dalit brother and sister will be respected, there will be proper participation at every level. Nawa Punjab - where there will be no place for corruption and mafia, there will be rule of law,” he added.

Slamming the ruling party’s administration, PM Modi said, “I wanted to offer prayers at Maa Tripurmalini Devi Shaktipeeth after this event but the administration and police said they will not be able to make the arrangements. This is the situation of government here. But I will surely offer prayers at Shaktipeeth soon.”

Addressing the huge rally in Jalandhar, PM Modi said, “After independence, Punjab has had few options in all these decades. When we were with Akali Dal, we always accepted our small role by treating them as our elder brother. There is only one thing in our hearts. Whatever is good for Punjab, we will do it. But for the first time, BJP has come up in Punjab as the biggest and most reliable option. Once Punjab gives a chance to BJP, then BJP will lead the transformation of Punjab. And I am glad that we now have Captain Amarinder Singh ji, Dhindsa ji with us. Together we will take Punjab forward.”

Highlighting the tyranny of the Congress government, PM Modi stated, “Jalandhar is such a big industrial centre of Punjab. About 70 percent of the sports goods in the country are made in Jalandhar. There are endless possibilities for the industries and for MSMEs here. But, the policies of the Congress have destroyed the industries and the employment. Only the Double Engine Sarkar of BJP can change this situation. Right now, the way businesses in Punjab have been given to the mafia, this game will not be allowed to run under the BJP government. Under the BJP government, the businessman here will carry out his business without any tyranny, without any fear. I assure you of this.”

Talking about farmers’ welfare, PM Modi remarked, “Double Engine Sarkar is paying attention to the needs of small farmers especially. Today, the money of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is going to the accounts of more than 23 lakh farmers of Punjab. The BJP government has also doubled the purchase of crops from farmers at MSP. We also ensured that the money earned from the purchase goes directly to the bank accounts of the farmers. Due to Corona, the prices of fertilizers increased in the global market, but we tried to minimize the burden on the farmers.”

“The Double Engine Sarkar will work for increasing the income of the farmers, reducing the expenditure on farming. The country has also started a big campaign in the direction of organic farming and natural farming,” he added.

“Today on one side there is Bharatiya Janata Party and NDA, whose ideology is related to Punjab and Punjabiyat. We are celebrating 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and 400th Prakash Parv of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at the national level all over the country. Also, in the memory of Veer Sahibzadas, government has decided to mark December 26 as Veer Baal Diwas.”

The Prime Minister said that the Government was giving special priority to the Punjab and it was making efforts to further prosperity in the region. He further said, “BJP will work for the welfare of Punjab and Punjabis. Congress' policies have left so many people unemployed. Our government's motto will always be Vocal for Local, which was never the focus of the previous governments.”

Reminiscing the 1984 Sikh Massacre, the Prime Minister asserted, “Entire Punjab has witnessed that we formed SIT to investigate the 1984 Sikh riots, helped its victims. But Congress has always done the work of sprinkling salt on their wounds by giving big positions to the accused of riots.”

Taking dig at opposition parties, PM Modi said some other people have come to play game of lies in Punjab. In Punjab they talk of ‘Nasha Mukti’ but in Delhi they have opened liquor shops in every street.
He also lashed out at the Congress party for raising questions on our Army.

Concluding his speech at Jalandhar, he said, “I want to give assurance to the people of Punjab, we will leave no stone unturned for the development of the state. We will work hard for the youth of Punjab and to make Punjab a nasha-mukt state.”
