Today's massive program underscores BJP's commitment to harnessing the power of women for India's development: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Barasat event, in West Bengal and greeted the audience with full vigour. The overjoyed crowd at the event showered love and admiration to the PM.

The PM positively remarked, “Today's massive program underscores BJP's commitment to harnessing the power of women for India's development” and added that "BJP has engaged thousands of women self-help groups nationwide. Today, in West Bengal, we witness a significant conference uniting sisters from these groups, furthering the cause of empowerment and progress.”

Taking pride in India’s infrastructural connectivity, PM Modi made the crowd aware of the fact that new routes connected to the Kolkata Metro, Pune Metro, Kochi Metro, Agra Metro, and Namo Bharat Trains have been expanded. The PM also set the narrative that modernizing the country's public transport is a priority of the Government of India today.

In retrospect, the PM mentioned that “In the 40 years preceding 2014, only 28 kilometres of Kolkata Metro route was constructed. However, under the BJP government in the last decade alone, Kolkata Metro has expanded by an additional 31 kilometres. This exemplifies BJP's sincere dedication to the development of Bengal and the nation as a whole over the past decade.”

Taking an explicit jibe at the opposition, the PM said, “With the NDA's return confirmed for the third term, Indi Alliance leaders are rattled, launching full-force attacks on Modi. They've resorted to personal jabs, questioning my family.” The PM went on to assure that, “Their desperate tactics won't distract from our commitment to progress.” The PM also challenged that to look for Modi’s family, the opposition should look at the crowd of people filled with respect and admiration surrounding him, standing by him and supporting him at the event.

In a voice filled with pride and love, PM Modi said, “These sisters of my country, who have come here in large numbers, who are associated with this program from every corner of the country – are Modi Ka Parivaar.”, and that “Today every countryman is calling themselves Modi's Ka Parivaar.”

Reminiscing his childhood days, PM Modi said that when he used to travel with his “jhola”, a lot of women and families used to ask him, saying, "Beta, have you had food or not?" The PM still feels gratified by all these gestures and the hard days he had to endure.

Shading light on our neighbourhood country, the PM significantly observed, “Bangladesh, a beacon of women empowerment, has nurtured countless inspiring figures like Mother Sharda, Rani Rasmani, Sister Nivedita, Sarala Devi, Matangini Hazra, Kalpana Dutta, Pritilata, Bina Das, and Nanibala Devi”, but “under TMC rule, atrocities against women have stained this sacred land. Despite grave sins in places like Sandeshkhali, the TMC government remains indifferent to the suffering.” The women of Bengal and the nation are incensed by this disregard. This wave of women's anger won't be confined to Sandeshkhali” the PM maintained.

Exposing the sorry state of affairs in Bengal, PM Modi stated, “Under the influence of appeasement and vested interests, the TMC government fails to ensure the safety of sisters and daughters.” The PM shared a contrasting picture and exclaimed, “BJP-led central government has enacted stringent measures, including the death penalty for serious crimes like rape. A dedicated women's helpline has been established to facilitate easy reporting during crises.”

The PM also shared the success stories of Central Government schemes implemented in West Bengal, “Through schemes like Mudra Yojana, over Rs. 1.25 lakh crore has been granted to women entrepreneurs in West Bengal. Additionally, 3 crore women farmers have received funds through PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The PM Vishwakarma Yojana supports sisters in artisanal industries with over Rs. 13 thousand crore allocated.”

With immense hope, the PM shared that the BJP government has come up with another big scheme for women. Modi government has started the Namo Drone Didi scheme for village sisters. With this, sisters are being trained as drone pilots and the BJP government will give drones to these sisters, which will be useful in farming.

With sheer discontent and disregard towards the Bengal government, PM Modi also mentioned that “The Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign has saved the lives of countless daughters across the country. However, the TMC government in Bengal hindered its implementation. Under Ujjwala, we provided free gas connections to 10 crore sisters nationwide, along with affordable cylinders.”, and added, “Despite the success of Ujjwala nationwide, over 14 lakh applications for connections remain pending in Bengal due to TMC government's inaction.”

The PM put forward India’s progressive portrait and remarked, “Today, our President, a daughter from a tribal community, embodies this vision of Modi Ki Guarantee and that Modi government fulfilled promises of reservation for sisters in Lok Sabha and Assembly. He also ensured Muslim sisters' freedom from triple talaq, with your support.”

The PM in his conclusion again reminded the countrymen that, “Wherever the Indi Alliance holds sway, women suffer atrocities. The TMC's dominance in Bengal eclipses the state's progress. It's crucial for all sisters to defeat the Indi Alliance and pave the way for development by ensuring the lotus blooms in every corner of the country.”
The PM hoped for a glorious victory ahead and promised the fulfilment of the Modi Ki Guarantee and last-mile connectivity.
