When people’s efforts connect with government’s efforts, our strength to serve increases: PM Modi in Rajkot

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting at Atkot, Rajkot in Gujarat. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, “The BJP-led NDA government at the Center is completing 8 years of service to the nation. Over the years, we have given top priority to service to the poor, good governance and welfare of the poor. Following the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’, we have given a new impetus to the development of the country.”

At the event in Rajkot, PM Modi stated, “When people’s efforts connect with the Government’s efforts, our strength to serve increases. This modern – Matushri KDP Multispeciality Hospital in Rajkot is a major example for this.”

Talking about the government’s commitment towards poor, PM Modi asserted, “When the pandemic started, there was a problem of food security in front of the poor, so we opened the granaries of the country. We deposited money directly in Jan Dhan bank account of sisters. We deposited money in the bank accounts of farmers and workers. We also arranged for free gas cylinders so that the kitchen of the poor continues to function.”

“When the challenges of medical treatment increased, we eased the testing & treatment facilities for the poor. When vaccines came, we ensured free vaccines for every Indian,” added PM Modi in Atkot, Gujarat.

Highlighting some of the major data points of the success of central schemes, PM Modi remarked, “Pucca houses to over 3 crore poor, freedom from open defecation to over 10 crore families, freedom from smoke to over 9 crore poor women, electricity to over 2.5 crore poor families, tap water to over 6 crore families – this isn’t just data but evidence of our commitment to safeguard dignity of poor.”

The PM reiterated, “In 8 years, we made honest efforts to build India of the dreams of Bapu and Sardar Patel. Bapu wanted an India that would empower the poor, Dalit, tribals, women; where hygiene and health become a way of life; whose economic system has indigenous solutions.”

“Once upon a time, industries were developed between Vadodara to Vapi. Today, in every direction of state there are small and medium industries. Saurashtra people had to migrate, now the world is migrating to Saurashtra and Kutch. Big pharma industries are coming to Saurashtra and Gujarat. In many sectors Gujarat is developing fast,” said PM Modi.
