ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರು ಇಂದು, ಗೋವಾದ ಶ್ಯಾಮ್ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಪಾ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಟುಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ ಸಿಟಿಗೆ ಶಿಲಾನ್ಯಾಸ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲು ಫಲಕಗಳ ಅನಾವರಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಮೈನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ಮೆಷರ್ ಹಡಗುಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಸಲುವಾಗಿಯೂ ಫಲಕ ಅನಾವರಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು;ಮತ್ತು ಐದು ಕರಾವಳಿ ಕಾವಲು ಪಡೆಯ ನಿಗಾ ಹಡಗುಗಳ ಆರಂಭದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, ಕೆಲವೇ ವಾರಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಗೋವಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಿಕ್ಸ್ ಶೃಂಗಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿದ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಗೋವಾ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, ಮಾಜಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಟಲ್ ಬಿಹಾರಿ ವಾಜಪೇಯಿಜಿ ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಭರವಸೆ ಈಡೇರುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ತಮಗೆ ಸಂತಸ ತಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಇದು ಗೋವಾಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರವಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ ಸಿಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದ, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯುವ ಚಾಲಿತ ಗೋವಾ ಇಂದು ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ, ಇದು ಭಾರತದ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಐನೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟುಗಳ ಚಲಾವಣೆ ರದ್ದು ಮಾಡುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 8ರಂದು ದೇಶದ ಹಲವು ಜನರು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು, ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಈಗಲೂ ನಿದ್ದೆಗೆಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದರು. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕಪ್ಪುಹಣದ ಪಿಡುಗು ನಿವಾರಿಸಿ ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗಲು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ, ಈ ನೋಟುಗಳ ಚಲಾವಣೆ ರದ್ದತಿ ಕಸರತ್ತಿನ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದ ಅವರು ನೋವಿನ ಅನುಭವ ತಮಗೂ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ತಾವು ಬಡತನ ನೋಡಿದ್ದು, ಜನರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದರು.

2014ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನತೆ, ತಮಗೆ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ಮುಕ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮತ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು. ಕಪ್ಪು ಹಣ ತಡೆಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

PM Modi pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage today to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue in the historic Promenade Gardens in Georgetown, Guyana. He recalled Bapu’s eternal values of peace and non-violence which continue to guide humanity. The statue was installed in commemoration of Gandhiji’s 100th birth anniversary in 1969.

Prime Minister also paid floral tribute at the Arya Samaj monument located close by. This monument was unveiled in 2011 in commemoration of 100 years of the Arya Samaj movement in Guyana.
