Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed huge public meeting in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. During his address Shri Modi thanked the people of Varanasi for their support.” I express my gratitude to the people of Kashi. Their blessings and affection is memorable,” he added.

PM Modi emphasized that he chose Kashi as his constituency for its development. “Have made Kashi my 'Karya Kshetra' so that we can regain the pride of the region,” he said. “Kashi is not merely a city, it is a symbol of humanity. Our effort is to build an 'Uttam Kashi',” he further added.

PM Modi opined that his government is working for development of Kashi at mission mode. He said, “We want Varanasi to be a connect between the ancient and the modern era.” He further said, “Lot of development works that were pending in Kashi have been resumed & are progressing at fast rate.”

PM Modi attacked the Samajwadi Government and said that they are not doing anything for the development of Kashi, “We are giving impetus to infrastructure development in Kashi. Be it roads, railways we are taking every measure that benefits people.” He further said, “They spread lies about 24X7 power supply. But during their temple visit today, there was power outage.”

Shri Modi talked about condition of weavers in the state and said, “We want our weaver brothers & sisters to prosper. We have taken steps that would benefit them immensely.”

PM Modi said the region can take the nation forward if given opportunities. “This region can lead when it comes to holistic healthcare. We have increased PG medical seats in medical colleges and hospitals”, he said.

Shri Modi said that the he is committed to work for welfare of the poor. The Prime Minister noted that the Centre had reduced stent prices which would directly benefit people as cost of treatment would come down. “We want people to have access to affordable healthcare. Prices of key medicines have been reduced. Stent prices have been brought down, said PM Modi.

PM took a dig at the Samajwadi Government in th state and said, “The Centre allotts funds for welfare of people in the states. But why Uttar Pradesh government is not able to utilize them.”

PM remarked that when the whole nation is contributing towards Swacch Bharat Abhiyan the government in the state is not interested at all. “500 regions were declared open defecation free. But what is the reason not even a single region from UP made it to the list,” he said.

Shri Modi urged people to Vote for BJP and change the government for development of Uttar Pradesh. “We want to transform people's lives in Varanasi in the next five years, concluded PM Modi.

Several party karyakartas were also present at the public meeting.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colourful cultural forms and will exhibit the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the State. A National Seminar or Conclave led by prominent experts and distinguished professionals across various domains will also be conducted.
