State government is all set to hold various celebrations to mark the conclusion of the Golden Jubilee of the state. First phase of the celebration began today at Dahod, a tribal region in central Gujarat, where more than one lakh people thronged showcasing the janshakti or the power of people. The first phase celebration will also cover districts like Panchmahal, Vadodara, Bharuch and Narmada.
Chief Minister, on the occasion, inaugurated an exhibition that is based on the theme of Janshakti and will display various traits of tribal culture. Chief Minister took a view of the exhibition and inquired about beautiful products crafted by the tribal artisans.

Chief Minister, on the occasion, inaugurated an exhibition that is based on the theme of Janshakti and will display various traits of tribal culture. Chief Minister took a view of the exhibition and inquired about beautiful products crafted by the tribal artisans.

Talking about the various programmes state government has organized to bring out the inner strength of the people, Chief Minister said that the state government took up ‘Vanche Gujarat' programme to inculcate reading habits into the young generation. Besides, the government organized ‘Swarnim Khelmahakumbh' to equip the youths with a healthy body along with a healthy mind, which saw a participation of 16-lakh youths of the state. Gujarat set a new record with preparing some 5600 food items and with as many as 20,000 people of the state playing Chess at a time, he said.

Chief Minister expressed his wish to empower the children of tribal regions and said that his government has started schools in tribal areas to impart the knowledge of science in the children residing there so that a tribal child can also become an engineer, doctor or a scientist.

While giving details of the large network of medical services in the tribal areas, Shri Modi said that 92 out of 100 deliveries are now being done at hospitals compared to 30 deliveries in the past, which has saved lives of many mothers and children. State government has provided nutritious medicines and food items to the tribal girls to ensure birth of healthy children in future, he said.

State government organized more than 350 Garib Kalyan Melas and handed over benefits worth Rs.5,000-crore to the poor, wiping out the group of middlemen between beneficiaries and the government, he said.

He also expressed his wish to build a new Gujarat that stands on the foundation of education.

Tribal Welfare Minister Shri Jaswantsinh Bhabhor said the state government has spent more than Rs.17,000-crore for the welfare of tribal people and transformed the face of tribal regions in the state.

Panchayat and Rural Housing Minister Shri Narottambhai Patel, Cabinet members Shri Jaysinh Chauhan, Jaydrathsinh Parmar, MPs Shri Mansukh Vasava, Ramsinh Rathwa, Dr.Prabhaben Taviyad, MLAs, Chief Secretary Shri A.K.Joti, Principal Secretary of rural development Shri R.M.Patel, Dahod District Collector, government officials and office bearers were present on the occasion.

MoU between India and Kuwait on Cooperation in the field of Defence.

This MoU will institutionalize bilateral cooperation in the area of defence. Key areas of cooperation include training, exchange of personnel and experts, joint exercises, cooperation in defence industry, supply of defence equipment, and collaboration in research and development, among others.

Cultural Exchange Programme (CEP) between India and Kuwait for the years 2025-2029.

Executive Programme (EP) for Cooperation in the Field of Sports
(2025-2028)

The Executive Programme will strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of sports between India and Kuwait by promoting exchange of visits of sports leaders for experience sharing, participation in programs and projects in the field of sports, exchange of expertise in sports medicine, sports management, sports media, sports science, among others.

Kuwait’s membership of International Solar Alliance (ISA).

 

The International Solar Alliance collectively covers the deployment of solar energy and addresses key common challenges to the scaling up of use of solar energy to help member countries develop low-carbon growth trajectories.
