CM launches smart class project in govt primary school of Vataman village of Ahmedabad district

 State to implement audio-visual learning process in govt primary schools

 CM to visit primary schools of coastal villages in Navsari district on Saturday

Gandhinagar, Friday: In a yet more novel initiative Chief Minister Narendra Modi has launched Smart Class Project, an audio-visual learning process, in government primary school in Vataman village of Dholka taluka in Ahmedabad district today.

"In the changing era, with the facilities like 24 hour three phase electricity and internet connectivity, poor children can also take pride of learning in the smart class with the help of technology", Chief Minister said while interacting with people on the occasion of Kanya Kelavni and Shala Pravesh Mahotsav, held at Vataman. All the 32,772 government primary schools are equipped with high class facilities and the state government marked its presence in 18,000 villages to sensitize the teachers and village community for quality education, he added.

Chief Minister also threw open newly-built classroom of the school in the village and reviewed the smart class learning project that was installed in the school.

Talking about the state government initiatives for the promotion of girl child education Mr. Modi said that about 80,000 girls have been given cycles from Chief Minister's Kanya Kelavani Nidhi. The state gives Vidhya Lakhmi Bond of Rs.1000 to the girls who get admission in Class-1, and on maturity on passing the class-7, a sum of Rs.2,000 given to them. So far, the Government has handed over Vidya Lakshmi bond of Rs. 130 crore, he said.

Inaugurating a government secondary school, built at the cost of Rs. 2 crore at Pimpali village, Chief Minister expressed desire to battle with poverty and ailments through education.

At Pachcham village of Dhandhuka taluka Chief Minister appealed the village women to send their girls to the schools. Only through the education, the inherent strength that lies with the girls would come out, he said.

On Saturday, Chief Minister will lead the Kanya kelavani and Shala Pravesh mahotsav at the two coastal villages of Navsari district namely Aat and Tavadi.

PM Modi to visit Mauritius from March 11-12, 2025

On the invitation of the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will pay a State Visit to Mauritius on March 11-12, 2025, to attend the National Day celebrations of Mauritius on 12th March as the Chief Guest. A contingent of Indian Defence Forces will participate in the celebrations along with a ship from the Indian Navy. Prime Minister last visited Mauritius in 2015.

During the visit, Prime Minister will call on the President of Mauritius, meet the Prime Minister, and hold meetings with senior dignitaries and leaders of political parties in Mauritius. Prime Minister will also interact with the members of the Indian-origin community, and inaugurate the Civil Service College and the Area Health Centre, both built with India’s grant assistance. A number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged during the visit.

India and Mauritius share a close and special relationship rooted in shared historical, cultural and people to people ties. Further, Mauritius forms an important part of India’s Vision SAGAR, i.e., Security and growth for All in the Region.

The visit will reaffirm the strong and enduring bond between India and Mauritius and reinforce the shared commitment of both countries to enhance the bilateral relationship across all sectors.
