ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ದೇಶವಾಸಿಗಳೇ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. ' ಮನದ ಮಾತಿಗೆ' ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸ್ವಾಗತ. ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ಅವಿಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಯಾವುವು ಎಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಘಟನೆಗಳು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ, ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ಕ್ಷಣವಿದೆ, ಅದೇ ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 15 ರಂದು ನಾನು ಭಗವಾನ್ ಬಿರ್ಸಾ ಮುಂಡಾ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮ ಜಯಂತಿಯಂದು ಜಾರ್ಖಂಡ್‌ನ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಉಲಿಹಾತು ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು. ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಆಗಾಧವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯಭೂಮಿಯ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಭಾಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ದೇಶದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನಾನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಅನುಭವವಾದುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶವೂ ಲಭಿಸಿತು. ಒಂದು ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಹೇಗೆ ದೇಶದ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಂತರ ಜನರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದರ ಅನುಭವವೂ ನನಗಾಯಿತು.
