After releasing a two-part book series on the eminent agricultural scientist Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, PM Narendra Modi said success in agriculture needs to be extended to eastern India. ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಾಮಿನಾಥನ್ ಅವರು ಬರೆದ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಇಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಾಮಿನಾಥನ್ ಅವರು 'ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ್ ' ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೇ 'ಕಿಸಾನ್ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ್ ' ಎಂದೂ ಮೋದಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೃಷಿ ಸಮೂಹಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲು ನಮಗೆ ಇದೀಗ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದುದೆಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿದರು. ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೀರಿನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.
