RTO offices to be equipped with latest technology with Rs.100 crore budget
Mobile vans launched for imparting traffic education in schools
Inaugurating a newly-built district RTO office in Gandhinagar today Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that state’s RTO offices will be equipped with latest technology for delivering best services. State government has allocated a special budget of Rs.100 crore for this, he said.
The newly-built RTO office has been built in 8,750 sq.meter of area at the cost of Rs.3.85 crore. Chief Minister also launched ten mobile Traffic Education and Awareness Mobile-vans (TEAM) which will be used for imparting traffic education in the schools of ten districts of the state.
Chief Minister said that usage of technology in RTO offices will directly benefit the people. It will put a break on the sell and purchase of theft stolen vehicles saving people from being victims of frauds.
He talked about the importance of obeying traffic rules and stressed on the awareness of people regarding it. He also indicated introducing a subject of road safety in the schools. He called upon schools to bring their students to the visit of RTO offices.
Transport Minister Ranjit Gilitwala exuded faith that the new RTO office will efficiently render services to the people.
Minister of State for Employment Liladhar Vaghela, MLAs Shambhuji Thakor, Kalyansinh Chauhan, GUDA chairman Ashok Bhavsar, government officials, invitees and citizens were present on the occasion.
