सांसद के ट्वीट का जवाब देते हुए प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा;
A lovely thread on Kutch. When the deadly quake struck in 2001, people wrote obituaries of Kutch but there is something remarkable about the people of this district. They rose again and propelled the district to new heights. Today Kutch is a great destination for tourism. https://t.co/8PfHRjyLtj

The merchants from Delhi and Mumbai would come and buy these products at cheap prices. Due to low income, people were abandoning villages and moving to cities. Then came 2005, when Modi Ji turned around the destiny of this place.

Spread across sprawling 5,00,000+ sq.mtrs, the Rann Utsav is now the backbone of the economy for the people of Kutch. Earlier as far as handicrafts were concerned, the women who handcrafted elaborate embroideries never ventured outside their homes. (6/10) pic.twitter.com/2oP6yDVWw8

This left the people of Kutch and also the whole of Gujarat traumatized. PM Modi Ji, at that time as CM of Gujarat could have simply kept quiet and waited for help. But he didn't. He took the reconstruction work at a war footing and developed Gujarat as a tourism spot. (5/10) pic.twitter.com/TEdsmqJR3d

I still remember the earthquake of 2001 wherein more than 60% of food & water supplies and more than 2.5 lakh houses in Kutch were destroyed, and over 40% of heritage buildings either collapsed or were severely damaged. (4/10)
