Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, addressed a public meeting at Kaprada, Gujarat. PM Modi started his address by highlighting the rare achievement of the BJP government to remain in service for such a long time and that the people have bestowed their trust in the political party. PM Modi also highlighted how the tribals of the area reaped the benefits from the development that has happened in Gujarat.

Talking about how Gujarat has turned its fate around in under two decades, PM Modi said that when the world thought it would take Gujarat decades to stand again, the people of Gujarat turned the state around and made Gujarat a hub for development.

Hitting out at the opposition, PM Modi said that due to the divisive politics of Congress, poor and backward people never had their basic needs fulfilled. He finally addressed the youth and the first-time voters of Gujarat, PM Modi said that the Gujarat of 20 years ago was impoverished and had a lack of opportunities for the youth, but has completely changed in these two decades. PM Modi further added that Gujarat today is developing at a rapid pace and has ample opportunities for all, and to continue this development, the people have to keep supporting the BJP.

PM Modi visits the Indian Arrival Monument
November 21, 2024

Prime Minister visited the Indian Arrival monument at Monument Gardens in Georgetown today. He was accompanied by PM of Guyana Brig (Retd) Mark Phillips. An ensemble of Tassa Drums welcomed Prime Minister as he paid floral tribute at the Arrival Monument. Paying homage at the monument, Prime Minister recalled the struggle and sacrifices of Indian diaspora and their pivotal contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture and tradition in Guyana. He planted a Bel Patra sapling at the monument.

The monument is a replica of the first ship which arrived in Guyana in 1838 bringing indentured migrants from India. It was gifted by India to the people of Guyana in 1991.
