Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video interaction with BJP Karyakartas from Machhlishahr, Rajsamand, Mahasamund, Satna and Betul.

Beginning his interaction with a party worker from Betul, Prime Minister Modi criticized the Opposition for indulging in spreading misinformation about mobile manufacturing in India. He said “Its not that mobiles were invented after 2014. Mobiles existed before 2014, but let me ask this question to those that ruled this country for so long, why did India have just 2 mobile manufacturing units during their rule?” PM Modi asserted that India is now among the leading mobile manufacturers in the world.

Moving on to interact with workers from Machhlishahr, PM Modi said that he was a strong believer in making positive changes in the lives of people. He said, “Technological initiatives like Digital India have been developed to fulfill this very dream of improving the lives of our people.”

The video interaction went further to Mahasamund where a party worker inquired about the political agenda of the BJP for the upcoming elections. To this, PM Modi replied, “We have three agendas, the first is Vikas (Development), the second is Tej Vikas (Faster Development) and the third is Sabke Liye Vikas (Development for All). These are our only agendas.”

In response to a question asked by a BJP Karyakarta from Rajsamand on being conferred the Seoul Peace Prize and the UN Champions of the Earth Award, PM Modi said, “It is not me who is getting rewarded internationally, rather it is the 130 crore people of my country who have left no stone unturned for the peace and prosperity of this nation.” He further added that ecological harmony and environmental conservation have always been an important part of Indian culture and ethos and even our tribal communities still practice this co-existence in their rituals and way of living.

The video interaction concluded at Satna in Madhya Pradesh where Prime Minister Modi was asked about the poverty alleviation efforts of his government to which PM Modi gladly told everyone how absolute poverty was rapidly declining in India due to a different approach adopted by his government. He said, “I believe only a poor can alleviate poverty and this is where the difference lies. Previously, the poor were a mere vote-bank for ruling governments and keeping a poor, poor benefitted them the most. Not anymore, we have empowered the poor now.”
