Narendra Modi offers prayer to famous Hatkeshwar Mahadev
CM attends punah pran-pratishtha mahotsav at Sabalpur
The Chief Minister Narendra Modi paid obeisance to
Navkundatmak Mahayagna and Shri Guru Maharaj’s
Maha Vaishnavyag Yagnavedi at Sabalpur near Vadnagar in north Gujarat today. The
yagnas were held on the completion of
punah pran-pratishtha mahotsav at Goddess Brahmani and Ramji temple.
Sharing his thoughts during
satsang-katha the Chief Minister said that religion acts as a life force for the people.“Religion is not about belonging to some particular sect but it is about putting religious values in practice”, he said.
Speaking about India’s spiritual traditions Mr. Modi said, “Our ancestors understood the importance of living in accordance with the elements of nature and designed their lifestyles accordingly.” He called upon the devout people to take vow to grow one thousand trees in the temple premises.
The trustees of the temple and the Sarpanch of the village, who is the son of one of Mr.Modi’s childhood teacher, heartily welcomed the Chief Minister.
Revenue Minister Anandiben Patel, Chairman of Gujarat Housing Board Jyanti Barot, Visnagar MLA and the local leaders were present on the occasion.
Prior to this, the Chief Minister went to the famous Hatkeshwar Mahadev and offered prayers.
