Narendra Modi calls for indigenous R&D for Armed Forces; offers Gujarat as a manufacturing base
Ahmedabad, Friday: Chief Minister Narendra Modi today called upon defence scientists and experts for indigenous research and development of latest defence equipments, engineering and technology for Indian Armed Forces. He offered Gujarat as a platform for research, design, development and manufacturing of the latest defence weaponry.He was speaking at a function to present Vasvik awards to 25 instituted by Mumbai-based Vividhlakshi Audyogk Sanshodhan Vikas Kendra (VASVIK) for scientific and industrial research. He also honoured noted scientist Prof M.G.K. Menon.
