H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Bonne, Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of France called on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today.

Mr. Bonne conveyed greetings of President Macron and thanked Prime Minsiter for India’s active participation in G7 Summit in Biarritz as Outreach Partner. The Prime Minister requested Mr. Bonne to convey his congrulations to President Macron and his team for the outstanding arrangements and outcomes of the G7 summit.

Mr. Bonne briefed the Prime Minister on the excellent state of the relationship and stated that the two countries enjoyed complete mutual trust. The Prime Minister noted that the relationship between the two countries is strategic in letter and spirit and is driven by close cooperation in areas including defence, nuclear, space, environment and digital economy.

The Prime Minister thanked Ambassador Alexandre Ziegler, who had accompanied Mr Bonne, for his significant role in strengthening the relationship and conveyed best wishes for his future as he completes his assignment in India.
