"CM listens to the people’s grievances, gives instructions to district officials for urgent redressal"

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today heard online the citizens’ problems at the Secretariat’s Public Relation hall in Gandhinagar as part of the monthly SWAGAT Online programme to redress their grievances to their satisfaction, giving an impression of delivering impartial justice.

Mr. Modi directed the Secretaries and District Administration of respective departments to send a clear message to those harassing the common man and particularly innocent citizens that they should be afraid of law.

Gujarat’s SWAGAT Online programme is spread over to the entire state, down to the district, taluka and village level. On an average, 78 per cent of the complaints are settled on the spot, no wonder if the programme had won the UNO’s Best Public Service Award.

Those present during the day’s programme included Minister of State Vasuben Trivedi, Secretaries, Collectors and other officers of department concerned, besides Chief Minister’s Additional Chief Secretary A.K. Sharma.
