Gujarat Chief Minister concludes Sadbhavana Mission at temple town of Ambaji

“Stop spreading lies about Gujarat and accept its strengths”

Development is sole medicine for resolving every problem in country”

Ambaji (Gujarat), Sunday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today warned the elements, who have been opposing and defaming Gujarat on every issue for the last decade as he asked them to stop spreading lies against Gujarat and accept its strengths – unity, peace and brotherhood of six-crore people of Gujarat.

He asked people ofGujaratto beware of such elements, disappointed as they are with the tremendous success of Sadbhavana Mission.

“They are plotting against the State and likely to attack it with their full strength in the next 24 hours. They have lost their mental balance with the tremendous success of Sadbhavana Mission Fast. If you abuse me I don't care, but if you try to defameGujarat, I will never tolerate it,” he warned his opponents. “I am prepared to combat any kind of severe attack on me. We are the people, dedicated to nation and ready to sacrifice everything for the cause of the nation,” he said.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a dazzling function at the the world famous religious place at Ambaji in north Gujarat to mark the conclusion of a series of 36 Sadbhavana Mission Fast that started in Ahmedabad on September 17, 2011, on his birthday. It’s aimed at spreading the noble message of peace, harmony, unity and brotherhood in the nation.

Attributing the development of Gujarat to six-crore Gujaratis Chief Minister said, Gujarat’s development was solely based upon unity, harmony, peace and integrity of 6 crore people ofGujarat.Gujarathas adopted the path of peace. Curfew and riots have now become a matter of past. He said that development is the sole medicine for resolving every problem of the nation asGujarathas achieved new heights in development.

The Chief Minister said, “Gujarat Government rules the State with absolute sensitivity and care for people.Gujarathas been heading on the path of Sadbhavana that is unity, peace and brotherhood”.

Shri Modi announced a development package of Rs.1,700 crore for the all round development of Banaskantha district. It May be recalled that development work worth Rs.1,100 crore have been in progress in the district.

People wearing political spectacles on their eyes could never know the real spirit of Sadbhavana Mission, that solely depends upon peace, harmony, brotherhood and unity of six crore people of Gujarat, said Shri Modi.

Thousands of people wearing saffron turbans, Religious leaders from various communities, people from all section of society, sports persons, journalists, physically handicapped and school children, women-house wives, teenagers, Merchant Associations, youngsters and old persons and thousands of tribal people in their traditional dresses dancing with drums and musical instruments, met Shri. Modi, and extended their strong support towards the noble cause of Sadbhavana Mission Fast.

At least 15,000 people of the district voluntarily observed Sadabhavana Fast with Chief Minister at the same venue to express their solidarity with him.

District Collector J.B. Vora handed over the cheque of Rs.8,57,650 to CM for subscription of Gujarat Magazine, a popular magazine being published by State Information Department.

Minister-in-charge Nitinbhai Patel, Assembly Speaker Ganpatbhai Vasava, Tribal Development Minister Mangubhai Patel, Revenue Minister Anandiben Patel, BJP State President R.C. Faldu, Member of Parliament and BJP National Vice President Purushottam Rupala, State Panchayat Minister Narottambhai Patel, Agriculture Minister Dilipbhai Sanghani, Ministers Prafulbhai Patel, Ranjitbhai Gilitwala, Mohanbhai Kundaria, Jitubhai Sukhadia, Jashvantsinh Bhabhor, were also present. As thousands of people across the district gathered to greet the CM, the large stage was flooded with flower bouquets and mementoes.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage today to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue in the historic Promenade Gardens in Georgetown, Guyana. He recalled Bapu’s eternal values of peace and non-violence which continue to guide humanity. The statue was installed in commemoration of Gandhiji’s 100th birth anniversary in 1969.

Prime Minister also paid floral tribute at the Arya Samaj monument located close by. This monument was unveiled in 2011 in commemoration of 100 years of the Arya Samaj movement in Guyana.
