પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ કહ્યું કે આજે વાહન સ્ક્રેપેજ નીતિની શરૂઆત ભારતની વિકાસયાત્રામાં એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ સીમાચિહ્નરૂપ પગલું છે.
શ્રેણીબદ્ધ ટ્વિટમાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું;
"વાહન સ્ક્રેપેજ નીતિનો શુભારંભ આજે ભારતની વિકાસ યાત્રામાં એક નોંધપાત્ર સીમાચિહ્નરૂપ પગલું છે. વાહન સ્ક્રેપિંગ ઈન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચરની સ્થાપના માટે ગુજરાતમાં રોકાણકાર સમિટ શક્યતાઓની નવી શ્રેણી ખોલે છે. હું આપણા યુવાનો અને સ્ટાર્ટ-અપ્સને આ કાર્યક્રમમાં જોડાવા વિનંતી કરીશ.
વાહન સ્ક્રેપિંગ પર્યાવરણને અનુકૂળ રીતે અયોગ્ય અને પ્રદૂષિત વાહનોને દૂર કરવામાં મદદ કરશે. અમારો ઉદ્દેશ પર્યાવરણીય રીતે જવાબદાર હોવા છતાં સધ્ધર #circulareconomy અર્થતંત્ર બનાવવો અને તમામ હિસ્સેદારો માટે મૂલ્ય લાવવાનો છે."
