પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ ટોક્યોમાં પેરાલિમ્પિક ગેમ્સમાં મેન્સ ડિસ્ક થ્રોમાં કાંસ્ય ચંદ્રક જીતવા બદલ વિનોદ કુમારને અભિનંદન આપ્યા હતા.
પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ એક ટ્વીટમાં કહ્યું હતું;
“ભારત આનંદપૂર્વક વિનોદ કુમારને તેમના અદભૂત પ્રદર્શન માટે આભાર માને છે! તેમને કાંસ્ય ચંદ્રક જીતવા માટે અભિનંદન. તેમની આકરી મહેનત અને દૃઢનિશ્ચયતાના લીધે અદ્ભૂત પરિણામો મળ્યા. #Paralympics"
