Talking on the reforms in the agriculture sector, PM Modi remarked that the Previous governments used to make a complicated web of promises and laws which farmers or labourers could never understand. But BJP-led NDA govt, has constantly tried to change this situation and has introduced reforms for the welfare of farmers.

Prime Minister Modi asserted, “In last few years, NDA government made full efforts to connect farmers with banks. Over Rs 1 lakh crores transferred to over 10 crore farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Our effort was to provide KISAN credit cards to more & more farmers so they can avail loans easily.”

Addressing BJP Karyakartas, PM Modi said there is a need to spread awareness on new farm bills. He alleged that the Opposition is using farmers for their benefit.

PM Modi urged all BJP Karyakartas that they should reach out to farmers on the ground and inform them in a very simplified language about the importance and intricacies of the new farm reforms, how these will empower them. “Our ground connect will bust the lies and rumours being spread in virtual world,” he said.

Defending the labour bills at the event, PM Modi highlighted that the new labour reforms would transform the lives of our labour force. “So far, only 30 per cent of the workers had the coverage of minimum wage guarantee. Now, it will expand to all workers in the unorganised sector,” PM Modi said.

Lauding the development work done by the BJP, the PM said, “the party's mantra has always been that of nation first and if we see the party's Sankalp Patra, we can see that how so many of the works are being done at fast pace - be it Har Ghar Jal or internet connectivity in villages. Be it revocation of article 370 or settling the Ram Mandir issue in Ayodhya.”

BJP National President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other BJP dignitaries were also present at the event.
