પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આશુરાના દિવસે ઇમામ હુસેન (એએસ)ના બલિદાનને યાદ કર્યું.
એક ટ્વિટમાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું કે,
"આપણે ઇમામ હુસેન (એએસ)ના બલિદાનને યાદ કરીએ છીએ. અને તેમની હિંમત તેમજ ન્યાય પ્રત્યેની પ્રતિબદ્ધતાને યાદ કરીએ છીએ. તેમણે શાંતિ અને સામાજિક સમાનતાને ઘણું મહત્વ આપ્યું હતું."
