પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ રેસેપ તૈયપ એર્દોગનને તુર્કીના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ તરીકે ફરીથી ચૂંટવા બદલ અભિનંદન પાઠવ્યા છે.
એક ટ્વીટમાં, પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું;
"Türkiyeના પ્રમુખ તરીકે ફરીથી ચૂંટાયા પર @RTERdoganને અભિનંદન! મને વિશ્વાસ છે કે વૈશ્વિક મુદ્દાઓ પર આપણા દ્વિપક્ષીય સંબંધો અને સહયોગ આવનારા સમયમાં વધતા રહેશે."
