BJP will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling this responsibility and living up to your trust. This is Modi Ki Guarantee - Idu Modiyin Guarantee: PM Modi to Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an enthusiastic crowd in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The PM thanked each and every one for their presence, love, respect and affection. The PM also expressed his happiness from the core to be surrounded by so many people.

The PM initiated his address by noting that the people of Tamil Nadu are looking at BJP with great hopes and said, “People are seeing how BJP has taken forward the positive politics of sensitivity and social justice in the country. This immense love and trust of Tamil Nadu is a big responsibility for us.”

The PM further assured to the people of Tirunelveli, “BJP will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling this responsibility and living up to your trust. This is Modi Ki guarantee - Idu Modiyin Guarantee”. Underlining the vision of the state, the PM praised, “The people of Tamil Nadu are people who are in step with the future. Tamil Nadu is identified by technology and new thinking. This is what brings Tamil Nadu closer to BJP.”

PM Modi mentioned that there is a significant change which today even the ones staying out of the country are witnessing and that the change is - India's increasing stature in the world, India's increasing respect. Adding on, the PM went on to say, when the people of the Tamil community spread all over the world see that they are being looked at with respect because they are Indians, their belief is strengthened and that the central government is doing the right thing. This change has come from the country's stable, developing and strong BJP government. That is why today Tamil Nadu is joining BJP so fast.

“For the first time under the BJP government, the distance from Delhi to Tamil Nadu has reduced so much. Today, the benefits of every scheme related to the poor, farmers, women and youth are reaching the southern corner of India. Today, Tamil Nadu itself is a witness to how the BJP government works,” PM Modi remarked with confidence.

PM Modi positively asserted that if new AIIMS campuses have been opened in other parts of the country in 10 years then AIIMS Madurai will soon be opened and further added, “Today, if every poor person in the country is getting guaranteed free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, then more than Fifty Lakhs of the beneficiaries are our brothers and sisters of Tamil Nadu. And we are doing this service when there is a government in the state which does not cooperate with us even for the welfare of Tamil Nadu.”

In an attempt to make the people aware and cautious, the PM remarked, “The anti-development political parties and the state government that is opposed to the development of Tamil Nadu have looted you a lot in the name of development of Tamil Nadu.” The PM then reassured that “Modi will not let this happen. And this is also Modi Ki Guarantee - Idu Modiin Guarantee.”

“It is very important for Tamil Nadu to develop for a Viksit Bharat. That is why the Government of India is trying its best to bring maximum investment and industry here. Both travel and business has become easier here due to Tirunelveli-Chennai Vande Bharat Express,” PM Modi said in a hopeful statement.

Reminiscing the divine spiritual and religious history of Tamil Nadu, the PM mentioned that Tamil Nadu has a profound link with Shri Ram and that the PM also visited Dhanushkodi and numerous temples ahead of the grand Ayodhya event. The PM expressed his discontent towards the opposition by claiming that “India celebrated the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. A few days ago, a resolution was laid in the Parliament regarding the same. All the members of DMK left the house. This behaviour shows how much the DMK leaders despise your faith. DMK and Congress are hell-bent on dividing the nation. Whereas, BJP considers every person as a family member..."

The PM positively maintained, “At BJP's core is the nation's priority. We ensure the safe return of Indians globally, as seen in Abhinandan's return from Pakistan and fishermen rescues. We even brought back Indians facing death sentences in Qatar. Under Congress or coalition governments, such swift action for Indian safety wouldn't be possible. They failed to ensure even an Indian's safety in Pakistan for years.”

Drawing attention to a ridiculous turn of event, the PM expressed his dissatisfaction towards DMK’s sheer misconduct and said, “DMK is a party which does not work but remains ahead to take false credit. Who doesn't know that these people stick their stickers on our schemes. Now they have crossed the limit. They have pasted the sticker of China to take credit for ISRO launchpad in Tamil Nadu. This is an insult to our country, an insult to our patriotic space scientists. The people of Tamil Nadu are going to punish DMK severely for such drama.”

The PM underlined his visionary outlook towards making Bharat a Viksit Bharat and positively affirmed that “Modi also has a track record of 10 years and a vision for the next 5 years. We have transformed India from 11th position to the fifth largest economy in the world. Our vision is that in the third term we will make India the third largest economy in the world. In the next 5 years we are going to expand our industries for a developed India. Today we have given options to our youth of Tamil Nadu to study subjects like medicine and engineering in our Tamil language.”

Taking a jibe at the opposition, PM Modi remarked, “In the 2024 elections, on one side is BJP which talks about development and vision, while on the other side are parties like DMK and Congress. They want to join the government so that they can take their family forward and fill their family's pockets.”

The PM emphasized on the need for Tamil Nadu to have a strong leadership and said that Tamil Nadu, known for leading societal progress, deserves leaders who prioritize its development. The PM gave a way forward to this and said this can be achieved by engaging citizens in open dialogue about the state's future, focusing on collaborative solutions, and uniting towards shared goals.

In gratification, PM Modi said that this time Tamil Nadu will bless that BJP which is concerned about the future of the state’s children. “Certainly, people have unprecedented confidence in BJP so much so that, even the opposition leaders have also started saying that BJP and NDA are going to break the record of the last elections this time,” PM said.

Being all optimistic and in full vigor, the PM concluded, “We have a lot of work to do to turn this confidence into a big win. We have to take the vision of our third term to every house and every booth.”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi earlier today chaired the meeting of the 45th edition of PRAGATI, the ICT-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, involving Centre and State governments.

In the meeting, eight significant projects were reviewed, which included six Metro Projects of Urban Transport and one project each relating to Road connectivity and Thermal power. The combined cost of these projects, spread across different States/UTs, is more than Rs. 1 lakh crore.

Prime Minister stressed that all government officials, both at the Central and State levels, must recognize that project delays not only escalate costs but also hinder the public from receiving the intended benefits.

During the interaction, Prime Minister also reviewed Public Grievances related to the Banking & Insurance Sector. While Prime Minister noted the reduction in the time taken for disposal, he also emphasized on the quality of disposal of the grievances.

Considering more and more cities are coming up with Metro Projects as one of the preferred public transport systems, Prime Minister advised conducting workshops for experience sharing for cities where projects are under implementation or in the pipeline, to capture the best practices and learnings from experiences.

During the review, Prime Minister stressed on the importance of timely Rehabilitation and Resettlement of Project Affected Families during implementation of projects. He further asked to ensure ease of living for such families by providing quality amenities at the new place.

PM also reviewed PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He directed to enhance the capacity of installations of Rooftops in the States/UTs by developing a quality vendor ecosystem. He further directed to reduce the time required in the process, starting from demand generation to operationalization of rooftop solar. He further directed states to adopt a saturation approach for villages, towns and cities in a phased manner.

Up to the 45th edition of PRAGATI meetings, 363 projects having a total cost of around Rs. 19.12 lakh crore have been reviewed.
