PM Modi dedicates phase I of SAUNI project to the Nation
PM Modi calls for extensive use of drip irrigation, says Government is working on ways to help double incomes in the agriculture sectorપ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે બોટાદમાં સૌની (સૌરાષ્ટ્ર નર્મદા અવતરણ ઇરિગેશન) યોજનાનો ફેઝ-1 (લિન્ક 2) રાષ્ટ્રને સમર્પિત કર્યો હતો. તેમણે સૌની યોજનાના ફેઝ 2 (લિન્ક 2)નું શિલારોપણ પણ કર્યું હતું..
અગાઉ તેમણે બટન દબાવીને ક્રિષ્ના સાગર જળાશયમાં નર્મદાના નીરનું સ્વાગત કર્યું હતું અને પુષ્પો અર્પણ કર્યાં હતા.
તેમણે જનસભાને સંબોધતા પાણીને કુદરતની પવિત્ર ભેટ ગણાવી હતી. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, નર્મદા મૈયાના આશીર્વાદ સાથે તેના નીર સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં પહોંચ્યા છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આ અનેક પ્રયાસોનું પરિણામ છે અને તેનો ખેડૂતોને લાભ થશે.
તેમણે મધ્યપ્રદેશનાં મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી શિવરાજસિંહ ચૌહાણની નદીના પાણીના સંરક્ષણ અને નર્મદા પર તેમણે કરેલી કામગીરીની પ્રશંસા કરી હતી.
તેમણે ટપક સિંચાઈ પદ્ધતિનાં વિસ્તૃત ઉપયોગ માટે અપીલ કરી હતી અને જણાવ્યું હતું કે, કેન્દ્ર સરકાર કૃષિ ક્ષેત્રમાં આવક બમણી કરવાની દિશામાં મદદ કરવા કામગીરી કરી રહી છે.
