On 6th of May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, taking to twitter, tweeted about his visit to China, Mongolia and South Korea. Morning of May 14th, he landed at the Xianyang International Airport, in China for his three day visit.

 

In Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, the Prime Minister paid a visit to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Shri Narendra Modi also shared a few glimpses of the visit with all his admirers over Twitter.

 

PM Narendra Modi viewed the exhibits in the Terracotta Warriors Museum and also shared his thoughts in the visitors’ diary.

People turned out on the streets in huge numbers in order to catch a quick look of Shri Narendra Modi.

His next stopover was the Daxingshan Temple. Shri Modi offered prayers and interacted with the monks. The Prime Minister visited various halls in the temple premises.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks on wide range of sectors. The President of People’s Republic of China welcomed PM Narendra Modi with a warm gesture and together visited the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the evening.

Later, Shri Narendra Modi was given a Ceremonial Reception in the South City Wall. The PM shared a few moments from the cultural event with all his admirers on twitter too.

Shri Narendra Modi also presented the Chinese President with a few archaeological drawings of excavations at Vadnagar, Gujarat which was one of the places visited by great Chinese traveller Xuanzang.

"India mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders, Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji," Shri Modi stated. Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi remarked that Dr. Manmohan Singh rose from humble origins to become a respected economist. As our Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh made extensive efforts to improve people’s lives.

India mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders, Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. Rising from humble origins, he rose to become a respected economist. He served in various government positions as well, including as Finance Minister, leaving a strong imprint on our economic policy over the years. His interventions in Parliament were also insightful. As our Prime Minister, he made extensive efforts to improve people’s lives.

“Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji and I interacted regularly when he was PM and I was the CM of Gujarat. We would have extensive deliberations on various subjects relating to governance. His wisdom and humility were always visible.

In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the family of Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji, his friends and countless admirers. Om Shanti."
