BJP National President, Shri Amit Shah thanked PM Narendra Modi for his leadership and said that his vision was inspirational and reason for BJP's ever growing popularity. He termed the elections results in Uttar Pradesh as historic and said that it was due to the welfare schemes of the Government and the Prime Minister’s vision for development.

He further said that win in Uttarakhand was a result of fair and transparent governance of Prime Minister Modi and welfare schemes brought by the Government. 

Thanking people of Goa and Manipur, he said, “I thank the people of Goa for their continued support to the BJP and appreciate the efforts of our karyakartas, who are party's strength. BJP's commendable performance in Manipur is a testimony to BJP’s commitment to North East & PM Narendra Modi’s vision to develop the region.” He also thanked people of Punjab for having given BJP-SAD alliance to serve the state for ten years and congratulated Capt. Amrinder Singh on the win.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
