Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held public meetings in Kasaragodu, Kuttanad and Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.. Addressing the people, the PM said that in these elections a third alternative had emerged in the form of BJP in Kerala. He urged the people of the state to elect a BJP Government in the Assembly elections and assured all round development of the state.

The PM alleged that the Left front practiced 'Politics of Violence'. He noted how several BJP karyakartas have been killed for decades. “For Kerala to shine, the politics of violence shall be replaced with politics of development, which BJP stands for,” said the PM.

Shri Narendra Modi expressed concern over state’s agriculture sector. He stated that the previous state governments did not take adequate measures for wellbeing of the farmer community and growth of the agriculture sector. “Congress and Left are not concerned about the agriculture growth in the state. Their priorities are different,” said the PM. He also talked about the different initiatives taken by the NDA Govt for the welfare of the farmers including the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.

Shri Modi also highlighted how Centre had been taking several measures for well-being of the people of Kerala, be it in the country or abroad. He talked about the serval efforts done by the Center to rescue people from Gulf countries and Iraq. He also alleged that the state government is not concerned by its own daughters getting raped and murdered.

PM attacked Congress and Left saying that the same Congress party is fighting with Left in Kerala while they have joined hands with left in Bengal? “Can people who speak in different voices in Kerala and West Bengal be trusted by the people? This is insulting people’s sensibilities,” said the PM.

The Prime Minister expounded about BJP’s development agenda for Kerala and urged people of the state to turn out in large numbers in the elections to cast their right. Kerala needs development and good governance, he added further.

Several party karyakartas and state BJP leaders were present during the PM's rallies.
