Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed huge public meetings in Bahraich and Basti, Uttar Pradesh. During his address Shri Modi thanked the people of Uttar Pradesh for their support. “People across Uttar Pradesh have made their minds to make BJP win in these elections”, said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi took a dig at the Congress party and said, “Congress has been completely sidelined by the people. From nowhere news about their win comes. People are now well aware of their misrule.”

Attacking Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on his donkey remark, the PM said that donkey was loyal and hardworking. He added that Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel hailed from the same land that Akhilesh Yadav was mocking. He further said, “Lord Krishna too made this land his karmabhoomi.”

PM attacked the SP government and said that they gave tickets to those whom they had labelled mining mafias. “Murderers and goons have flourished in UP due to political patronage”, said Shri Modi. PM Modi questioned the present SP government about the law and order situation in the state.  He said the women in UP did not feel safe. He remarked, “Why is it that the women are scared to come out of their houses alone even during the daytime? MLAs of your party are accused in heinous crimes and Akhilesh ji you are asking for votes on their names! UP doesn't deserve such a government.”

Prime Minister Modi remarked that welfare of sugarcane farmers was of utmost importance for the BJP Government. He added, “Why sugarcanes farmer in Uttar Pradesh face so many troubles? Why their dues aren't settled? BJP would make sure their demands are met. We would waive off loans of small farmers, if voted to power.”

Shri Modi said that the BJP was committed to work for welfare of the poor. The Prime Minister noted that the Centre had reduced stent prices which would directly benefit people as cost of treatment would come down.

PM Modi spoke at length about various aspects of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. He added, “For the first time after India's independence, we have brought the most comprehensive Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.” He further added, “Uttar Pradesh doesn't deserve a government that is anti-farmer.”

Citing that several villages of Uttar Pradesh lacked power supply, the PM said, “Why is it that several villages in Uttar Pradesh do not have electricity even today? Previous governments did not work in this direction. We have electrified more than 1300 villages in Uttar Pradesh within 2 years.”

PM Modi stressed his fight against black money and corruption would continue, “Our fight is against corruption and holders of black money. Protection of the rights of small and medium traders is our responsibility.” He further added that those who have looted the country for 70 years won't go unpunished.

He further mentioned that government has eliminated interviews for jobs for grade 3 and 4 to reduce corruption, “We eliminated interview procedures for class 3 & 4 jobs. This reduced corruption in big way.”

Shri Modi urged people to change the government and to vote for the BJP. Several party karyakartas attended the event.

PM Modi to inaugurate ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 on 25th November
November 24, 2024
PM to launch UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025
Theme of the conference, "Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All," aligns with the Indian Government’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 and launch the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025 on 25th November at around 3 PM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

ICA Global Cooperative Conference and ICA General Assembly is being organised in India for the first time in the 130 year long history of International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), the premier body for the Global Cooperative movement. The Global Conference, hosted by Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), in collaboration with ICA and Government of India, and Indian Cooperatives AMUL and KRIBHCO will be held from 25th to 30th November.

The theme of the conference, "Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All," aligns with the Indian Government’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation). The event will feature discussions, panel sessions, and workshops, addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by cooperatives worldwide in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable economic growth.

Prime Minister will launch the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025, which will focus on the theme, “Cooperatives Build a Better World,” underscoring the transformative role cooperatives play in promoting social inclusion, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. The UN SDGs recognize cooperatives as crucial drivers of sustainable development, particularly in reducing inequality, promoting decent work, and alleviating poverty. The year 2025 will be a global initiative aimed at showcasing the power of cooperative enterprises in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.

Prime Minister will also launch a commemorative postal stamp, symbolising India’s commitment to the cooperative movement. The stamp showcases a lotus, symbolising peace, strength, resilience, and growth, reflecting the cooperative values of sustainability and community development. The five petals of the lotus represent the five elements of nature (Panchatatva), highlighting cooperatives' commitment to environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The design also incorporates sectors like agriculture, dairy, fisheries, consumer cooperatives, and housing, with a drone symbolising the role of modern technology in agriculture.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan His Excellency Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji His Excellency Manoa Kamikamica and around 3,000 delegates from over 100 countries will also be present.
