Maharashtra has decided to keep the ‘double-engine of growth’ going by supporting the BJP in these elections: PM Modi
The only reason for the ‘Maha-Milawat’ alliance is to remove Modi and form an opprtunistic coalition of parties: Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge rally of supporters in Madha, Maharashtra today.

Elaborating on the need and advantages of a stable and strong government in the country, PM Modi said, “Who better than the people of Maharashtra, the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, would know the importance of a strong and capable government and what it is able to achieve. The overwhelming support that I recived across the country in 2014 helped me in not only taking bold decisions in the better interests of the people but also take historic decisions for the welfare of the most vulnerable and marginalised people as well.”

Criticising the Opposition parties including NCP and Congress, PM Modi said, “While on one hand, the people have seen the track record of BJP governments both in Maharashtra as well as in the Centre and fully support this double engine of growth. On the other hand, there is the ‘Maha-Milawat’ with all its parties that are only concerned about pulling each other down and indulging in divisive politics. Neither do they have an agenda to lead the future of the country nor do they have a leader to do so. The only reason for their coming together is to remove Modi and grab power to form a coalition of opportunistic parties that will not serve the people of the country, they will serve themselves and their families.”

Highlighting the major initiatives and schemes started by the incumbent government since 2014, Prime Minister Modi asserted that the BJP-led NDA government is working continuously to enhance the productivity and incomes of cane farmers in the country as well as strengthening the Farmer Produce Organisation in order to help farmers get better prices for their produce. He added that despite the Opposition, especially the Congress, hurling personal abuses and tantrums against him and his family background, he continues to work to improve the lives of all Indians unbothered. He said that he was certain the people of Maharashtra will give a befitting reply to such parties in the Lok Sabha elections.

“Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji and I interacted regularly when he was PM and I was the CM of Gujarat. We would have extensive deliberations on various subjects relating to governance. His wisdom and humility were always visible.
