On Sunday 9th December 2012 Shri Narendra Modi addressed large public meetings in Santrampur (Panchmahal district), Sanjeli (Dahod district) and Pavi Jetpur (Vadodara district). Shri Modi talked at length about the development initiatives in Gujarat and asked people to think of what would have happened in Gujarat was under Congress. “If Gujarat was under the Congress, can you imagine Dasha of Gujarat? Loot of Delhi would be on in Gujarat,” he affirmed.Shri Modi attacked the Congress for neglecting the tribal communities of Gujarat and asked who turned the dream of a new Chhota Udepur district into reality?

“The other name of the Congress is cheating!” the Chief Minister declared as she shared instances of the Congress cheating the people. He pointed out that in 2009 the Congress promised to bring prices down in 100 days but that has not happened and prices have risen since then. He expressed surprise at Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s inability to say a word on rising prices while she visited Gujarat recently. “Did Mrs. Sonia Gandhi even say a word on what Congress will do for Gujarat’s development, for its Tribal communities, for its women, farmers, cities, villages? Did she say anything on price rise? The poor cannot light their stoves!” and added, “But no- she thinks the poor are in the pocket of the Congress!”

Similarly, the Congress promised to create 1 crore jobs for youngsters in 2009 but Shri Modi questioned if any youngster has got a job from Delhi. He stated that the Congress’ money power will do no good to the party and will be no match for the hard work & sweat of BJP Karyakartas in the upcoming elections. He recalled that when Mrs. Sonia Gandhi came to Chhota Udepur the media glorified the visit and predicted BJP would be wiped out but in the elections it was the Congress that was wiped out from Chhota Udepur. This time Mrs. Sonia Gandhi went to Rajkot but Shri Modi avowed, “You may change your Disha but your Durdasha will not change. That is because you cheat the people.”

The Chief Minister talked about the success of the 108-ambulance service and how it was helped many mothers and children. He also stated that if any youngster wants a loan, the Government would be the guarantor. “I am doing this because I have faith in youth of Gujarat,” he stated. Shri Modi pointed out that in their 40 years in power Congress built 10 lakh houses and that too of poor quality but in the last 10 years 22 lakh houses have been built by the Gujarat Government. He added that after the elections, the BJP Government would work towards ensuring that no person has to stay in a Kuccha house and that he has asked officials to give details of those staying in Kuccha houses so they can be made into Pucca houses.

Giving a befitting reply to Mr. Ahmed Patel who referred to him as the Sultan of Delhi, Shri Modi said, “After I called him Ahmed Miya Patel, he has felt bad and the glow on his face disappeared. He said Modi is Sultan but it is dynasty produces Sultans and you (referring to Mr. Ahmed Patel) spent your life in service of these Sultans hence you cannot think of any other word.” He further affirmed, “We are here due to the support of people and Ahmed Miya, if you understand Lok Shahi the word Sultan would never have come out!”

Shri Modi shared that he is seeing not a BJP wave but a BJP super storm in the elections.People from various sections and age groups gathered in large numbers to extend solidarity to Shri Modi and the BJP in the public meetings.
