The Chief Minister's Fellowship Program, launched in 2009, is an extraordinary opportunity for the youth to be part of social service for the future development of our country. Fellows are placed with high-profile projects to make an exceptional impact on social development.

The First batch of the CM Fellowship Programme was a grand success and its second batch would begin on the 2nd October’2011, the applications for which are being received now. The last date for applying to this batch is 31st Aug’ 2011

“My brothers and sisters residing in and outside the country; my young friends – if you want to utilize your talent, your experience, your courage and your enthusiasm for the people of this country, I invite you to do so through the medium of the Chief Minister's Fellowship Programme. You will get an opportunity to understand and learn what government is, what governance is, what administrative systems and decision making processes are and the challenges that are faced by the common man…”

About the programme :

Under the CM fellowship program, selected Fellows will spend 11 months working with the Government of Gujarat in a specific Department or District of Gujarat. There will be an induction to the Government of Gujarat's operations, ground-level study and the challenge to contribute to Gujarat's development transformation. Thus, Fellows will develop as individuals with competencies and aspirations to benefit the public through their chosen career paths.
