પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદી અને ગ્રેનેડાના પ્રધાનમંત્રી અને કેરિકોમના હાલના અધ્યક્ષ મહામહિમ શ્રી ડિકોન મિશેલે, 20 નવેમ્બર, 2024ના રોજ જ્યોર્જટાઉનમાં આયોજિત બીજા ભારત-કારિકોમ શિખર સંમેલનની અધ્યક્ષતા કરી હતી. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ગયાનાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ મહામહિમ ઇરફાન અલીનો આ શિખર સંમેલનના ભવ્ય આયોજન માટે આભાર માન્યો હતો. સૌપ્રથમ ઇન્ડિયા-કેરિકોમ સમિટ વર્ષ 2019માં ન્યૂયોર્કમાં યોજાઈ હતી. આ શિખર સંમેલનમાં ગુયાનાના પ્રમુખ અને ગ્રેનેડાના પ્રધાનમંત્રી ઉપરાંત નીચેની બાબતો સામેલ થઈ હતી.

આજે આપણે અહીંયા વિકસિત ભારત માટે વિકસિત ઉત્તર પ્રદેશનું નિર્માણ કરવાના સંકલ્પ સાથે એકજૂથ થયા છીએ. અને મને કહેવામાં આવ્યું હતું કે, અત્યારે તકનીકના માધ્યમથી આપણી સાથે ઉત્તર પ્રદેશની 400 થી વધુ વિધાનસભા સીટો પર લાખો લોકો આ કાર્યક્રમ સાથે જોડાયેલા છે. તકનીક દ્વારા આ કાર્યક્રમ સાથે જોડાયેલા મારા તમામ પરિવારજનોનું હું હૃદયપૂર્વક સ્વાગત કરું છું. આજથી 7-8 વર્ષ પહેલાં આપણે કલ્પના પણ ન હતા કરી શકતા કે ઉત્તર પ્રદેશમાં પણ રોકાણ અને નોકરીઓના સંદર્ભમાં આવું વાતાવરણ સર્જાશે. ચારેબાજુ ગુનાખોરી, રમખાણો, તફડંચીના સમાચારો આવતા રહેલા હતા. તે દરમિયાન જો કોઇ એમ કહેતું કે હું ઉત્તર પ્રદેશને વિકસિત બનાવીશ તો કદાચ કોઇ સાંભળવા તૈયાર ન હોત, માનવાનો સવાલ જ નહોતો. પરંતુ આજે જુઓ, ઉત્તર પ્રદેશની ધરતી પર લાખો કરોડ રૂપિયાનું રોકાણ ઉતરી રહ્યું છે. અને હું ઉત્તર પ્રદેશનો સાંસદ છું. અને જ્યારે મારા ઉત્તર પ્રદેશમાં કંઇક થાય છે, ત્યારે સૌથી વધુ આનંદ મને થાય છે. આજે હજારો પરિયોજનાઓ પર કામ શરૂ થઇ રહ્યું છે. આ ફેક્ટરીઓ જે અહીં આવી રહી છે, આ ઉદ્યોગો જે આવી રહ્યા છે, તે ઉત્તર પ્રદેશની તસવીર બદલી નાખવાના છે. હું ખાસ કરીને તમામ રોકાણકારોને અને ખાસ કરીને ઉત્તર પ્રદેશના તમામ યુવાનોને અભિનંદન પાઠવું છું.
