આજે એક વિશેષ દિવસ છે. આજે ભારત તથા બાંગ્લાદેશના શહીદોના બલિદાનને યાદ કરવાનો દિવસ છે. બાંગ્લાદેશની સ્વતંત્રતા માટે જિંદગી આપનારા યોદ્ધાઓને યાદ કરવાનો દિવસ છે. બાંગ્લાદેશના સ્વાભિમાનની રક્ષા માટે લડનારા ભારતીય સેનાના જાંબાઝોને યાદ કરવાનો દિવસ છે. પણ આ અવસર બાંગ્લાદેશ પર કરવામાં આવેલા તે ક્રૂર પ્રહારને પણ યાદ કરવાનો દિવસ છે જેણે લાખો માણસોની જિંદગી છીનવી લીધી. સાથે જ ઇતિહાસની જે ત્રાસદી બાંગ્લાદેશ ઉપર વીતી, તેની પાછળની વિકરાળ માનસિકતાને નકારવાનો પણ છે. આજનો આ અવસર ભારત અને બાંગ્લાદેશના 140 કરોડથી પણ વધુ નાગરિકોની વચ્ચે અતૂટ વિશ્વાસની તાકાતને ઓળખવાનો પણ છે. આપણે આપણા સમાજને કેવું એક સશક્ત અને સમૃદ્ધ ભવિષ્ય આપીએ તેની ઉપર ચિંતન કરવાનો પણ આ યોગ્ય અવસર છે.
