Suzuki chairman in praise of Government’s transperent policies

Suzuki to decide setting up Maruti-Suzuki automobile plant in Gujarat at its board meeting in October-2011

Gandhinagar, Thursday: Japan's Suzuki Automobiles' Chairman and Managing Director O. Suzuki and Maruti-Suzuki Managing Director R.C. Bhargava on a courtesy visit here today held a detailed discussion with Chief Minister Narendra Modi about the company's proposed Maruti-Suzuki auto manufacturing project.

It was Mr. Suzuki's first meeting with Mr. Modi and described it as extremely cordial. He expressed his gratitude for the latter's positive attitude for fascilitating set up the project in Gujarat. He said he was highly impressed by Gujarat's industrial growth. He had a word of praise for the Gujarat Government's trasnparent policies and achievenments of good goverance.

Mr. Suzuki said the company's board of director at its meeting in October 2011 will take an appropriate decision regarding the project and announce the decision about the site after the board meeting.

The company's senior officials during their visit theee months back had preliminary discussion with the Gujarat Government's officers here.

The Chief Minister briefed Mr. Suzuki about Gujarat's fast emerging as a global hub in the automobile sector.

Prominent among those present at the meeting with top honchos of Maruti were Minister of State for Industries Saurabh Patel, Chief Secretary A.K. Joti, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) M. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary (Industries) M. Sahu, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary K. Kailashnathan and Secretary A.K. Sharma, besides Gujarat Government's Residential Commissioner Bharat Lal.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has highlighted the remarkable progress in expanding Metro connectivity across India and its pivotal role in transforming urban transport and improving the ‘Ease of Living’ for millions of citizens.

MyGov posted on X threads about India’s Metro revolution on which PM Modi replied and said;
