প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী আজ নতুন দিল্লিতে ‘হুনার হাট’ ঘুরে দেখেন। দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে এই যেসব হস্তশিল্পী, রন্ধনশিল্পী এবং কারিগর ‘হুনার হাট’-এ স্টল দিয়েছেন, তিনি সেগুলি ঘুরে পরিদর্শন করেন।
ইন্ডিয়া গেটের লনে ২৫০টির বেশি এই ধরনের স্টল দেওয়া হয়েছে। এখানে অংশগ্রহণকারী বেশিরভাগ কারিগরই মহিলা। প্রধানমন্ত্রী অংশগ্রহণকারীদের সঙ্গে মতবিনিময় করেন এবং একটি সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান প্রত্যক্ষ করেন।

ভারতের দেশজ চিরায়ত ঐতিহ্যকে রক্ষা করে তার প্রচারের মাধ্যমে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি করার সরকারের অঙ্গীকার এই ‘হুনার হাট’-এর মধ্য দিয়ে প্রতিফলিত। এই ধরনের ঐতিহ্যের অনেকগুলির অস্তিত্বই বর্তমানে সঙ্কটের সম্মুখীন।
এ বছরের ‘হুনার হাট’-এর থিম হল ‘কৌশল কো কাম’। বিগত তিন বছরে এই ‘হুনার হাট’-এর মধ্য দিয়ে প্রায় ৩ লক্ষ শ্রেষ্ঠ হস্তশিল্পী, রন্ধনশিল্পী এবং কারিগরের কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি হয়েছে। সুবিধাভোগীদের মধ্যে অনেকেই মহিলা।
