Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with BJP booth-level Karyakartas from Alappuzha, Attingal, Mavelikkara, Kollam and Pathanamthitta in Kerala today.

The video interaction began from Alappuzha where a party worker asked PM about the biggest assets of BJP Karyakartas in Kerala, to which he answered, “People often ask me about the biggest assets of BJP Karyakartas. I say- it is their love for the nation and their energy.”

When another Karyakarta from Attingal asked Prime Minister Modi on how to explain the BJP’s governance models to the people of Kerala under communist government, PM Modi replied that both the governance models of Congress and the communists are models of “efficient corruption and inefficient governance” which are totally different to the BJP’s model of governance which is based on fast paced and inclusive development for everybody. In this context, the Prime Minister expounded several development initiatives being undertaken by the Centre in the state.

The interaction then went to Kollam where PM Modi strongly condemned the political violence unleashed against the BJP Karyakartas by the communist regime in Kerala. “BJP karyakartas in Kerala are effectively becoming the voice of the people. They stand strongly with the people, even if it means withstanding the brutality of political violence. Our karyakartas have withstood the worst of political violence, and have given great sacrifices for doing what believe is right”, the PM added.

Further responding to a question on India’s growing credibility on the global scene, Prime Minister Modi credited what he called “India’s permanent ambassadors,” members of the Indian diaspora, numerous of them belonging to Kerala, for the growing glory of India in recent times. “When a nation of 130 crore people speaks, today, that voice is heard. Be it terror or climate justice, be it in apprehending economic offenders or economic growth, today, India is at the forefront of setting the global narrative”, the Prime Minister said.

Concluding his interaction at Pathanamthitta, Prime Minister Modi described to his Karyakartas how in just 4 years, the BJP government at the centre has significantly expanded infrastructure and implemented transformative welfare schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat to ensure all-round development for the last man in the queue. “Indian economy was among the Fragile Five before 2014. The world had turned away from India. Within four years, that perception has completely changed”, the PM noted.

He urged the Karyakartas to keep working hard and ensure that the people’s voices are heard.
